vvvslaxman
One thing ive noticed about him is that he doesnt converts his starts into big one he tries to smash everything out of the park As a player he hasn't shown the growth he should have shown. He kinda over-simplifies what viru, haydos do out in the middle. Viru might look like a slasher. But he has impeccable defense. An under-rated one. Similarly Dhoni is master of playing percentage cricket. Guys like Uthappa, Karthik, Rohit never developed the art of staying long enough to make their innings worth. Link to comment
saneindian
What Uthappa has missed in this IPL is converting some of those starts into 50s. Despite throwing away so many starts, he still has 248 runs@31 with a SR of 134. With 3 games left, even now he can make up for some of those wasted opportunities. Was quite unlucky to be given out today. Link to comment

He does well in constructing big innings in Test or T20 formats at least at domestic level much better than Uthappa/Karthik. No doubt he has a long way to go to emulate Kohli!!!!! Link to comment

Aaku
Even though he said that they should have found a better title for the article. I knoww.. its such a nice article with a terrible title :dontknow: good one :two_thumbs_up: Link to comment
Sachin=GOD
He, like many other Indian players, has failed to take his game to the next level. In this context players like Uthappa, Rohit Sharma etc could learn a lot from Virat Kohli. He still has time and can make a comeback to the team methinks. Link to comment
