nospam Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Get a phone which is supported by CyanogenMod since they update their roms to the latest Android (for ex 2.3/Gingerbread right now) or MUIU (Android 2.2, 2.3 coming soon). Don't wait for phone manufacturer's update, they are pretty slow to update the Android o/s.
Desi Cartman Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 thanks , but tell me whats the min spec I should aim for
EnterTheVoid Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Android is an operating system for mobile phones, HTC desire runs the android iirc. I too don't want to be stuck on a plan so I use a pre paid sim and the most basic phone money can buy these days. 30 bucks optus pre paid credit lasts a month, more than enough for my needs. Also the phone is a pretty **** phone so no worries about people stealing it :hysterical:
Desi Cartman Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Its an OS :wall: I know that but I wanna know about the upgrades and if there are any limitations and what should be the min spec for decent phone

Holysmoke Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 boss, if you ask me.. buy a used 3gs or a used iphone 4. you should atleast have a 600 mhz processor, and 256 ram. Ideally you should have android 2.3, but i dont know if that would fit into your budget. Hence the iphone 3gs....
