Sign of sledging

Here's the translation (almost word for word): "Go Kid, learn how to bowl first!" Even before the start of the test seriers, players from India and Australia have started a wave of sledging. This was started by Australia's All-rounder Shane Watson in the three-day practice match. On Saturday against Board President's 11's Sreesanth and on Sunday against Piyush Chawla, he made comments on them to instigate them. According to sources, on Sunday, Watson said to Chawla who was batting, to go and learn leg spin from Steven Smith. Chawla retorted wonderfully too. In the 32nd over of the innings, he hoisted Smith's delivery over the long-on for a terrific six and then looked at Watson. He didn't stop here. In the 34th over, he once again hit Smith's delivery over the long-on for a terrific six. Sreesanth on the other end and Chawala again laughed and looked at Smith and Watson. Actually, Spinner Piyush, in his 32-over bowling spell, had conceded 162 runs, and had taken only 1 wicket. Coincidently, Chawla had bowled out Watson. Motivation can be achieved by Instrospection. After the match, Sreesanth who came to the press conference, was asked by Bhaskar if Watson, on Saturday, had commented anything about his bowling ? (sic). On this Sreesanth said, "My cousin in Australia had told me over the phone that newspapers in Australia had written about him, he is running ahead in anticipation/hope and Australians are behind him. I have even "tweeted" about this. I do get a lot of motivation by these words. What they say and what they do, don't make much of a difference to me. As far as this match is concerned, I didn't bowl well on the first day. On the second, it was better and I got two wickets. ZOMGESHWARA!!!

You probably just ensured another 5 pages for this threads. Our Southie members are not going to like it.

Exactly. :cantstop: But I think Andy makes a fair point, i.e if one stays in India, he must know a little bit of Hindi at least, having said that, if he stays outside India like G_M, its fair enough if he doesn't understand Hindi.

Watson sledged a 20 yr old kid in a practice match? Must be really low on confidence' date= Watson :hehe:
Something you don't understand about sledging I guess.. It's not to do with Watson's confidence, it's to do with unsettling the other player.. A 20 year old kid is the perfect prey
