vvvslaxman Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 This guy is intolerable not that others are good. But his contrived "excitement" is really annoying. Kaspa is average. Atleast he is not annoying. I would take Tony Greig, Ian Chappell and the likes any day over this clown.

Atleast he is not annoying. I would take Tony Greig' date=' Ian Chappell and the likes any day over this clown.[/quote'] Used to hate him from his playing days... a very infuriating guy.. so glad Sachin and India ended his career... I like Kaspa... he gives a bit of insight into the proceedings from his own exp, this guy is nothing but a clown.. and an irritating one at that... Surely with all the bloody money, can we arrange for some English and a certain WI pleaseE??
The Outsider Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Kasprowicz? On Neo? The only Aussies I heard were Hogg and Bevan. And Moody in the studio.
Cricketics Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 During the 08 series. Fox panel from Aus travelled. Brandom Julian was fun to hear. I would want folks like him in the commentary box.
King Tendulkar Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Get ready of Shiva. That oily rat annoys me even more then Nasser and Atherton!! OK not as bad as the two anti indian twats but still makes hoggs commentary look almost Lyols like in comparison. Really cant stand when the oily rat tries to be funny
EnterTheVoid Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Hogg is Ok, he's not that bad. I miss the commentary of Allan Border & Brendon Julian, they were a quality pair.
King Tendulkar Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 The best commentary I heard was when we toured NZ. NZ comms were a delight
Cricketics Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 The best commentary I heard was when we toured NZ. NZ comms were a delight I like Ian Smith and Mark Richardson. Fun commentators.
vamos_rafa Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Dean jones was anoher clowns.. he had a few pet dialogues like "Interesting ploy thi" and "goaing goaing gone" and his fav one used to be "I got a theory for this"... tried making even a Zim-Ban match as a fed-Nadal final match but irritating to the core IMO. Anyone remembers the Prof Deano pre match analysis during 2004 Asia Cup??Dressed as a prof, he used to speak only crap .

Now he's a "professor" at NDTV :--D
Serani Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 The best commentary I heard was when we toured NZ. NZ comms were a delight Thats because they bum licked India.
King Tendulkar Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Thats because they bum licked India. About time someone did! And they were right to admire the NO 1 TEAM IN THE WORLD. Get with the programme blood.
Serani Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 NZ comms are lame, they have a woeful accent aswell. Jeremy Coney is the only decent one.
SachDan Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 NZ comms are lame' date=' they have a woeful accent aswell. [b']Jeremy Coney is the only decent one. Got something to do with him covering English domestic championships for Sky? :hmmm:
Ram Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Even by the generally mediocre s standards of commentators these days, he’s unspeakably bad. I hate the way he mangles all the Indian player names out of recognition. He literally called Ishant as ‘Instant Sharmal’ after the victory in Mohali.. WTF! And of course, there’s the fake excitement to add salt to the wounds. Btw, I don’t know what has happened to Uncle Lal these days, but these days, I don’t feel like banging my head against the wall, while electrocuting myself, even as I set myself on fire, all at the same time when listening to him. The ‘Yes Indeeeeeeeds’ have gone, so have the breakdowns at the sight of some stray dog in the streets. Michael Bevan is good though - Sensible, articulate and reasonably insightful.
achilles Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 L Sivaramakrishnan has been pwning Brad on air. He did that practically everytime he came on air.
Serani Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Got something to do with him covering English domestic championships for Sky? :hmmm: No its got something to do with the fact he has a sense of humour. Ian Smith is just like "omg look at sachin chewing gum in the slips he has such a manly jaw I love him so much" Obviously thats a major exaggeration but you get the picture.
RamP Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 L Sivaramakrishnan has been pwning Brad on air. He did that practically everytime he came on air. i heard one instance where hogg was talking about how sehwag and gambir always hangout together, preparing themselves, helping each other in the gym, talking about the match during dinner etc. the so callled oily rat pwned him asking 'what the hell you were doing there spying over the two?" brad hogg couldnt open his mouth for a few seconds.

Indeed!! observed the change in Arun Lal's commentary...
philcric Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Bevan is good. And his voice is v v similar to that of Kaspa. Hogg is pants. Wish they had 1 or 2 more Aussie commies for these matches.
