That is your logic - since 'Dhoni' keeps winning matches, we shouldn't question his captaincy.. Measuring everything by win/loss yardstick and don't give a damn about what he does on field.

You measure a captain by the win/loss yardstick. You don't measure a player's performance by that same yardstick, you do it by their individual performance. We are not discussing Dhoni's performance as a batsman/ Keeper, but as a captain here.

Captaincy is about tactics and strategy and Dhoni does seem to be lacking here - is far too passive and waits for things to happen rather than being proactive. A similar analogy is that with football, a team can still win despite their striker missing chances and not playing well. However that does not mean the players position should remain unquestioned.

If a striker keeps missing his chances, the strikers position is questioned, not the captain's. If Dhoni keeps dropping catches his position as a keeper will be questioned not his captaincy. His captaincy position will be questioned only when he keeps on losing a few matches, not if he loses 3 sessions in a test and wins the test.

After three wickets fell Aussies really what was needed was asking them to take some chances to score runs ,Ricky almost holed out, but suddenly he make bowling change ,why fix something which ain't broken . Totally wrong move it is not fast bowlers who took wickets it was spinners who took the wickets so they can continue for little longer till they lose the grip.

A captain is judged by his captaincy skills, not by win loss ratio. Maybe for you, but I beg to differ.
