carnish Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Sourav Tiwari is tonty tonty player... nuthing more..no technique... no mental ability
J P K Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 never seen a pathetic captain giving 10 runs to tailenders in a close match :headshake:
ganeshran Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 He is a good captain given his limited resources
cowboysfan Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Sammy West indies should drop Sammy from odis,he has no purpose in this team.they could have really challenged this inexperienced indian side if they had an extra batsman or bowler instead of an "all rounder" who doesnt bowl and comes in at 8.
Trundler27 Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 yea i seriously think that they continue to be mediocre because of a gutless management. They should try and get the likes of holding and bishop involved in the management of west indies cricket. Sammy for sure needs to go..... he doesn't even deserve a place in the final 11 let alone being the captain and then picking the 11 :giggle:
rahulrulezz Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Tbh after watching him at presentation ceremony, I just can't hate him. He comes across such a humble n honest trier n said good stuff about Indians n new members of WI team. U can actually see the guy is going thru self-doubts n lack of confidence cuz of constant criticism.
Serani Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 This is professional sports, being a nice guy should not give sammy a place in the WI ODI team.
saneindian Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 I don't think he was fit to bowl. Has had a couple of injuries during the tests. But because WI have no other choice, he played on. Credit to him for leading such a young side with lot of grace. It's quite clear he has the respect of his team and he carries them along nicely.
carnish Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Sammy is a fighter and will perform well soon... even the best cricketers have to face these slump in form
ganeshran Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 This is professional sports' date=' being a nice guy should not give sammy a place in the WI ODI team.[/quote'] This. Sammy is a very likeable character, but spots in the team should be handed out on ability.
Magneto Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 I don't think he was fit to bowl. Has had a couple of injuries during the tests. But because WI have no other choice, he played on. Credit to him for leading such a young side with lot of grace. It's quite clear he has the respect of his team and he carries them along nicely. There was a nice moment at Ahmedabad which i don't know whether you guys could see on TV. After Sammy dropped those two catches he looked devastated and was lying low. The way Andre Russell walked up to him and tried to cheer him up showed how much the other team members care for him. He might be eating up the spot of another more capable cricketer, but I think he gives the WI cricketers something in terms of guidance, security and confidence. Even if the cricketers do not respect him for his on-field abilities, I'm guessing they surely respect him for his off-field abilities. For a young cricket team suffering on so many uncontrollable accounts, I think they need Sammy for some time. And they did put up competitive performances for 2 Tests and 4 ODIs against India, which is a much better performance than lets say, what SL against put up against the Pakis.
Trichromatic Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 What a great achievement for him. :hatsoff:
Tiger-Don Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 MUSHFIQUR RAHIM that little hoe is the worst!!!!!!!!!
Precambrian Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I;d take a dumb captain who can win a WC over a superintelligent captaan who chokes in the finals
