My growing belly and second chin not Indication of me growing fat - Triam "I dont think my belly and second chin are real indicators of my fitness level" - triam remarked to our source. "I dont think about weighing 250 pounds, I dont really agree with that"- triam further remarked to this reporter when asked about his weight. He also said "I really dont think I can be categorized as fat, I think I am better than that, I think I deserve better than that"

Wait until you lose to BangBros , then you will see the true reflection/ projection/ interpolation/ extrapolation super-imposition of true from/test-ranking. No wonder you are a cricketer and not a designer of Test-cricket-team Ranking algorithm. The same ranking system that held you on to #1 rank for years, is indicating you are #5 (though may be momentarily - on recent form). Btw, you did not go from #1 to #5 overnight - it had been a result of your consistent effort over last 2-3 years or so.

  I think he's quite right about rankings. There's no way that Hussey is the 32nd best batsman in the world. Ashrafool has better chances of making runs than this guy..

Mathematically - its most difficult to attain a ranking of #4-#5. Because most of the teams aspire to be #1. and significant # of the teams deserve to be #8. So it is implied that when top half of the teams are playing to be #1, and bottom half of the teams deserve #8 spot - it is most difficult for any team to achieve the perfect balance of mathematics ( when to loose when to win), skills and performance to achieve #4/5 ranking. And between #4 and #5, #5 is more difficult to attain as there is added psychological pressure to attain and maintain #5 position. Hence true reflection of ranking is - #5, #4, #7, #6, #3, #2, #8, #1.

As mentioned previously, only a few points separate the 3-5 ranked teams so one should concentrate on the Ratings [/i[ accumulated than just the crude ranking number. There's not much separating them but lets have a closer look : rankicc.png Let's compare Australia and Sri Lanka AUSTRALIA [result] [win] [draw][loss] Weight of 1(Last year+) Lost 0-0-2 against India (away) Drew 1-0-1 against Pakistan (away) Won 2-0-0 against New Zealand (away) Won 3-0-0 against Pakistan (home) Won 2-1-0 against WI (home) Lost 1-2-2 against England (away) Weight of 0.5 (first two years) Won 2-0-1 against SA (away) Lost 1-0-2 against SA (home) Won 2-0-0 against NZ (home) Lost 0-2-2 against India (away) Won 2-1-0 against WI (away) Won 2-1-1 against India (home) Won 2-0-0 against SL (home) Now let's look at Sri Lanka Weight of 1(Last year+) Draw 1-1-1 against India (home) Lost 0-1-2 against India (away) Won 2-0-0 against NZ (home) Weight of 0.5 (first two years) Won 2-1-0 against Pakistan(home) Draw 0-2-0 against Pakistan (away) Won 2-0-0 against Bangladesh(away) Won 2-0-1 against INdia (home) Draw 1-0-1 against WI (away) Win 1-2-0 against England (home) Lost 0-0-2 against Australia (away) It can be argued that these rankings do not differentiate between home and away series so if one team plays a lot of home series then the numbers can be a bit skewed. Perhaps, higher points should be given for away series? What helped SL edge out Australia is winning and drawing against India at home and also beating England. Australia on the other hand lost two times from India and once from England. That seems to be what's separating both the teams basically.

This was Australia's home series, not away. Recently, Australia has not won a single test in India.

This new guys in Aus side upholding their outfielding tradition Great stops. They have saved many runs. These new Aus players are giving 200% on the field, excellent fielding. I see some of the younger players in Indian side, and there is unmistakably a regression from the times of a fit-Yuvi (not the fat Yuvi), Kaif, new-Raina times. We need a fielding coach. I wonder what the BCCI is waiting for, rather than making such crucial coach appts now when there is still a bit of time left for the Worldcup. Even Bangles for crying out lout, have invested in a fielding coach. BCCI still counting their money in the coffers!

Paine got crazy bounce' date=' and there were byes. Have you looked at the wonderful stops to convert 4s to 1s??[/quote'] What crazy bounce. One early on was a shocking miss. They need a bowling coach, especially for Smith who may dive around but cant bowl

for christ's sake can we stop worshipping the aussies and the saffers for their so called fielding ability. we have been doing that for ages. in the same period we have improved our fielding by a fair distance as well. why dont u crazy boys stop idolozing those teams for fieldings, while they are only just a little above average? a sincere request  note: cricket matches are won by superior batting and bowling and rarely through fielding. may be one out of 10 matches
