maniac Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Credit where it's due excellent innings by Razzaq but also foolish bowling by the Poms...They kept bowling him the same length over and over... but still the ball has to be put away... and no matter how much I despise the team ,we have to admit it was a memorobale cricketing moment and an awesome oneday innings.

Poms? I know its hard to tell the difference these days but come on...
king2be98 Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 U didnt read what i wrote third ball in final over it was out the ball was of course hitting his legs i dont have to make up non sense not long ago paki fans were crying on doctrove but this decision by aleem dar is very biased. You're still making up nonsense, here is why, the third ball of the final over went for a 6. Watch it again if you like, or go and read any match commentary and you'll see the final over, the first was a dot ball through the legs, the next 2 were 6s over wide long on, the 4th was a swing and miss outside the off stump and the 5th was slammed through point for 4. There was no appeal for LBW in the final over and the appeal that did take place was for an edge but there was a good 2 inches between bat and ball. I'd like you to please come back with facts and not nonsense. We were crying and still are about many things, but Doctrove is not one of them. As for Dar being biased, please come out with some proper comments and not just baseless garbage. If you think the ICC awards are meaningless, then perhaps the awards given to Sehwag, Tendulkar and De Villiers etc are meaningless too? Dar is a good umpire, the world knows, you've one of the few people who thinks otherwise.
The Outsider Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 ^ Why are you wasting your time on a clueless troll?

Pak_Forever Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 but the inning he played...many players have been playing for decades (including Afridi before u bring that up and several others) and haven't played such an under pressure knock. This knock is easily among the best ever knocks of ODIs.

This knock is easily among the best ever knocks of ODIs. To be honest there was no pressure. Nobody was going to blame him if Pakistan were to lose. It was like Nathan Astle innings in the TEst match. Just swung the bat at everything. He luckily had bowlers like Albie bowling to him. It was more like one of those Yusuf Pathan's exploits . This bowling attack was a very very poor bowling attack on a flat pitch.
Rajiv Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 ^^ Cmon VVS U think if someone like Irfan pathan would have played like that, you've said the same...the guy was in immense pressure, considering the see-saw nature of Pak cricket. You still gotta connect and hit a six, if it was so easy to throw ur bat at everything then well laa-dee-da Cmon man, u gotta pat his back for what he did

Everyone else failed so if you do no one is going to blame you. If you hit a few you are a hero. Nothing to lose. The pressure would be really felt only when Pak got close to the target and had a realistic target to get That said it was a brutal entertaining innings
