Watson87 Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I say kick Ishant Sharma out of the team and bring this lad.
saneindian Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 What a way to reward the young lad by not picking him in the final 11 for Central Zone in the Duleep Trophy. Shame on the Central Zone selectors. Chose to go by reputation and chose RPS ahead of Chahar who after his 40 wickets in the debut season should have been picked.

Zelig Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Nice in swingers :woot: He'll learn a few tricks if he gets to play with Bolly and bowl under the watchful eyes of Prasad. Come to CSK!
saneindian Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 is he fit to play? Was bowling at full tilt in the Ranj final 3 days ago. Don't see any reason why he should be unfit. Perhaps lost out to Umesh Yadav. In fact the entire Central zone squad is full of players with no (or minimal) national hopes, Chopra, Kanitkar, Kaif , Bundela, RP Singh, Murali Kartik..Defeats the purpose of such an elite tournament where youngsters doing well in the Ranji trophy should be playing ahead of these veterans. P.S: Going through the match thread, it does look like Chahar is injured.
rkt.india Posted January 20, 2011 Author Posted January 20, 2011 Chahar's triceps was injured during the ranji final...he was bowling with strapping and pain killers
Deleted_User_1 Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Don't worry. Once he starts playing for India, he will become a trundler soon, Insallah!
rkt.india Posted January 20, 2011 Author Posted January 20, 2011 Don't worry. Once he starts playing for India' date=' he will become a trundler soon, Insallah![/quote'] he is already a trundler..he swings the bowl which is his forte right now and i do not want him to play for India at least 3 seasons more...until the age of 21...he is only 18 right now...otherwise we will lose him too llike Irfan
msb1991 Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Some of those inswingers are pretty insane. There does not seem to really be a way to tackle the late swing there.

b555 Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 i cant seem to make it work :sniffle: get a decent net connection , get a life :winky:
cowboysfan Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 late swing is what gets most batsmen,no matter if he is bowling at 127 or 137.there will be temptation to pick this guy for the england series(heck they picked unadkat who has done zilch so far).
Fontaine Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Good Lord, inswing and seaming it away? That was sensational bowling. Does anyone know if this was just a once off performance or does he usually swing the ball like that?
