CG Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Sreesanth avg in that series -62 Ishant- 58 wat support:hail: See I am talking about moments where both had england on the mat and it needed another bowler to finish the job.If you cannot see through stats its sad.Yes ishant and sreesanth did not bowl well in the series but there shoulders did not drop they tried hard unlike our previous bowlers who after one session could go in to sulking mode.

The Outsider Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Surely you would have noticed it . Of course. Who could have missed the brilliance of Sreesanth and Ishant's upright shoulders on the tour. :adore:
JaFanatic Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Sreesanth and ishant did support him in 1st and 2nd test but he faltered in the 2nd inninds of lords test after ishant spell and all were hammered by eng tail in 2nd test. this is praveen kumar's second test performance in which according to you he got hammered ov:58.0 md:13 run:169 wk:7 er:2.91 avrg:24.14 sr:49.7 and this is how ishant and sreeshanth supported him in first and second test first test: ov:54 md:11 run:187 wk:4 er:3.46 avrg:46.75 sr:81 second test: ov:51.2 46 md:8 6 run:197 212 wk:5 5 er:3.83 4.60 avrg:39.40 42.40 according to you sreeshanth supported him in the first and second test but sreeshanth didn even play in the first test:hysterical::hysterical: it shows how well you follow them:giggle: and the day india finds 2 or 3 155kmph bowlers you may not rate sree and ishant as like now:winky:
CG Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Of course. Who could have missed the brilliance of Sreesanth and Ishant's upright shoulders on the tour. :adore: You know what i mean. .There was no lack of effort may be skills but not effort.

I said ishant and sreesanth supported him in moments .Ishant had eng reeling in 2nd innings and sreesanth in 1st innings in 2ndtest. regarding p.k i said all were hammered by eng tail.
Lord Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Zaheer after 45 tests had identical figures as Sharma. Except that Zaheer was 29 then and Sharma is still 24. That's 5 years of extra learning curve. Zaheer hadn't had one outstanding series and Sharma has had two. Go easy on dismissing someone as crap who puts in more effort everyday than your lordships posting dozens of messages everyday manage in a year. Zak was dropped n made a comeback after county stint.I m asking the same for Ishant, not writing him off.he doesnt deserve to play India atm. yeah he puts in more efforts in a day than I do in a year, but hes paid like that too.atleast I produce results

Well i wish i could forget zaks injury in the first test and our humiliation in eng so easily.
CG Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 He is pretty much like PK in pace and his swing skills. It is too early to judge him. If he is a better bat tecehnically then he can be a good alrounder. Yesterday' date=' he was brilliant. If only he can increase his pace to 5-7k more with that swing, he can be a handy test bowler. Ahmedabad will be a test for him. Other thing is Pak batsmen did not know what he can do and that novelty factor also worked for him.[/quote'] well he does swing it late.
King Tendulkar Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Look Kumar was good in england, no doubts. However, conditions were ideal for his type of bowling. But if your attack is 4 kumars you are in trouble. In modern cricket only room for 1 seam/swing bolwer in an attack. More then that your attack becomes trundle city, especially in some conditions around the world. Need a balanced attack. Thats 2 fast bowlers who min bowl over 86 mph regularly, 1 swing seam bolwer in low 80s and a spinner. Thus all are arguing as if have to chosse between Ishant and Praveen. When in fact can have both.

People seem to think praveen will somehow continue the same he did in england in 2011 even though he has lost his zip and swing and is just putting the ball with out much effort. We will have another rp singh nothing else.People like shami ahmed,Pandey,Suyal, even dinda have been toiling hard in dc with results to show for it and they should be picked .
maniac Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 As far as PK goes....There is a gap of 80 overs between each newball,we can't afford to play a bowler who is good enough for the first 10 overs and **** for the next 70,given the fact that he can neither bat nor field. He did OK in England and will be a good support bowler, until then he will be a passenger more often than not.Embarassing to watch a opening bowler bowl at 110K
maniac Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Irfan is the same kind of bowler as PK,a yard quicker...head and shoulders above PK as a batsman and fielder. BK looks similar to PK as well, right now those 2 are ahead in the pecking order if we consider a PK kind of bowler. Yes,PK was good but not as exceptional as people are making him out to be.
JaFanatic Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 with the pace at 80mph and swinging abilities he can be a third pacer and can be used as a workhorse
youngindia Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 I said PK if fit. you dont need to be around 135 ks to be successful in helpful conditions,he proved that by outbowling Ishant n Sreesanth in England.Asif n Philander r other examples. i am sick of the so called PK out bowling everyone in england. 1986 chetan sharma 18. roger binny 20.9 kapil 30.6 1996 vkp 25 srinath 39 next time modern day don quixotes, who keep harping on stats in england to think 125k bowlers are going to have a rosy future in test cricket, will do well to know a little bit of history. 140 years of test cricket has given plenty of evidence and guidelines to what to expect. pace is not everything .but it is a vital parameter and there is a minimum requirement to be met.
jusarrived Posted July 17, 2014 Author Posted July 17, 2014 Iam saying agian , BK will fill in the AR slot for India
