Who is best captain you have seen?

No one comes close to Imran Khan. The guy is regarded as the best cricket captain by many cricket pundits....but ofcourse accepting that will be against the norm of this place.

While Imran was a great leader in truest sense of the word, I am not sure which pundits are you talking about . He was never a great tactician, but he had great strength and command over his team and extremely brilliant motivator. Most pundits respect him for bringing the side together and united.

I hope to see Dravid at no3 in SA because in conditions like SA you want an experienced batsman who has consistently performed at no3 over the years. Also, I'd hope Raina is given a chance for at least the 1st test.

I mean if it's indeed a long term decision, he should be persisted with and should continue at No.3. As Sehwag was promoted as an opener, and after he succeeded goddy always came down the order. That's no masterstroke either, but a damn bold decision, to break one of the best opening pairs (Sachin & Gangs) and make Sehwag a specialist opener. IIRC he didn't bat as an opener even in the domestics.

Though as per my above posts its evident that I admire Dhoni's captaincy but he got lucky with some of his desicions eg;Sending Jogi to bowl the last over in t20 final and opening with Ashwin in IPL. I still don't understand the tactical logic behind these but well...it worked for him. He is cool under pressure but I still have doubts about his tactical powress...Glad he has some seniors to help him out with that.

Purely as a captain, I'll go back in time and my late grandfather told me the best he had ever seen was Frank Worrell. Fleming is the best tactical captain I have seen, Clarke the most aggressive. I rate AB De Villers as a leader personally.
