With this innings he gave another :finger: to all those who say he never performs under pressure and struggles in the 4th innings of a match. It's a shame we will lose this match but SRT stepped up to the plate when his team needed him and if some others could have contributed a little more we may have saved this test. Superb effort from the little master and i would also like to commend our skipper for playing a superb innings that gave us a glimmer of hope of salvaging the test going into the latter stages of day 4 and for hanging in there and allowing SRT to reach this historic landmark. :hatsoff:

agreed. It was one of Dhoni's best innings, he was looking very fluent from the start and if he had stayed then definitely this was a certain draw. Now we have to depend on rain

Only one word for him -MahaaRathi Clicking through Cricinfo's photogallery of his 50 hundreds brought back memories of the 90s - when our hopes of winning lived and died with how well HE played. So many Johnny-come-latelys on this board who like to trash a legend who has given Indian cricket fans more than 20 years of joy. I hope all of them STFU for at least a week. Dhoni does not have the technique but he is surprisingly good enough against bouncers etc. which is in stark contrast with Raina)

That is a tad too harsh on players like VVS and RD. There were times when SRT failed and one of the two have stepped up numerous times in all conditions and all situations.

Having Raina in the line up after VVS fell cheaply has taken away one more good partnership which would have really given India at very good shot. That is where the damage was done the most looking at the innings closely. India wanted Rain and they got Raina instead.
