The Realist Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/tms#playepisode1 B-> Listen to the first 10 minutes of the Day 4 podcast as Boycs rips apart the sorry England performance and slaps down ladyboy Stuart "my dad's a corrupt umpire" Board for being a wuss :hysterical: Boycs :hatsoff:
Sachin=GOD Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: bahut shaandaar.
Sid Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Feckin hillarious,Boycott at his best
Sachinism Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 I love a good old rant, but a bit OTT, no?
WeStMiDz Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 I listened to the first 10 minutes but didn't hear him ripping into Broad. The precise minutes and seconds anyone?
VRV Singh Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Boycott is one miserable sob Feel sorry for Aggers early on, doesn't know where to take things :cantstop:
Fontaine Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Boycott is great. He's always straight forward and honest no matter which team he's talking about.
Sooda Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 England seem to try hard for their team and each other which is more than Geoff Boycott can say for himself when he was playing
The Outsider Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 I respect Boycott's opinions a lot, but in this case it is simply a case of premature ejaculation gone wrong, talk about oxymorons. The entire English contingent were feeling so chuffed after the win at Adelaide that they had already written epitaphs for the Ashes and no less anointed England as the next number 1 team. Boycott was one of them - I saw his show on the Telegraph with Chappell and Vaughan. Talking incessantly about English depth and their performance squad being at the same level as international sides. It's just a case of being shown so blatantly and obviously wrong that you have no other recourse but to lay into the team with as much frustration as you can. I like to keep it simple - for me any team which has 'Class Act Collingwood' in the top 6 can never become the number 1 team in the world.
Sooda Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 There was even an article in the Guardian here last week asking whether this was the best English batting lineup ever...
EnterTheVoid Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Seems the Perth win is a little difficult for England to disgest, not long ago, they were writing obituaries of the Australian cricket team. Loving every minute of this series.
vamos_rafa Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I knew this was coming. The English had moaned a lot about how they are the prospective #1 side and stuffs like that. Austraila, whenever there's talk of their resolve, I always say this. Aussies have 2 animals on their Coat of Arms the emu and Kangaroo, and they are known for never taking a backward step. That's what the Aussies are...
suraj Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 sometimes it is nice to admit that the other team just played better instead of going on a criticizing spree
