^So you would have torn him apart had he been dismissed quickly ? If yes, then you must appreciate this innings, as he played the way he should have, and supported Sachin in getting his 50th Ton.Had Dhoni got out early, I am sure Sachin wouldn't have gone to the 3 figure mark.And keeping the personal milestones aside, the partnership that these two put on together just helped India come out of a precarious situation.Although we may not save the game today, but that partnership made sure, we didn't lose that badly either.

I stated to open a thread when he was in 80s, then decided against it ( just before I was about to submit) fearing I might end up jinxing, but he got out anyways in next 15-20 minutes. Looks like thinking about it was enough :(. Brilliant effort anyway. No one expected more than 30-40 from him, but the way he played must have helped Sachin too - relieving him of some pressure.
