Dude, why do you have something up yourself? :dontknow: Chill! This is a thread about Tim Bresnan and he's bowled sh!t today. Is that enough or are you going to post Bresnan's statistics against India in one ODI WC game to prove me wrong?

He bowled well in the SL series and that's that. He was not 'exceptional' is what I'm saying. Dale Steyn ripped through India on a flat placid track in Nagpur. We have not seen Anderson doing that and most probably never will for aforementioned reasons.
saw that match when steyn was bowling it wasnt flat track it changed after wars but conditions did help him and he got wickets with swing w/o swing even he is just average

Yeah Bresnan has bowled crap today. My original point wasn't even to you. it was to that guy who was claiming Zaheer > Anderson and that India's bowlers are better than England's bowlers. Which kind of pissed me off as it was such a ridiculous and outrageous claim.

Kaunsa match dekh raha tha? That pitch was flat there and SA scored 558. There was a ball change which helped SA not the pitch.
Those 22 yards never mattered less. With one of the most lethal and joyful spells of pace and swing seen in India, a red-hot Dale Steyn took the pitch out of the equation and led South Africa to the verge of what should be close to their finest Test victory. He took out two in the morning with conventional swing, and followed it up after tea with a spell of 3.4-2-3-5 with the old ball.

"There was a ball change around tea time [it was actually a couple of overs before tea], the seam had split open©Øe came back after tea and the ball looped around a bit. It [change of ball] was a good thing," Steyn said after the day's play.

Overall for all conditions no one can say India's bowlers are better than England bowlers. However, if you restrict the super set to just SC conditions ; we may have an open debate on that. But, overall no way India's bowlers are better than England's.

lol maybe i dont remember correctly ..i wrote it form memory and i can be wrong but still man just bcos steyn did it does not means every one has to do it all i want to say is anderson has improved a lot and in these conditions he is jsut as good as any fast bowler right now ... dale steyn is a freak :fear:

Let's wait and see how Zaheer bowls to England batsmen in the next few days. My guess is he will be way better than England bowlers. That will settle the debate once and for all.

Well, no it won't. Mainly because half our batsman are usually crap in the SC. You can't compare when the tracks will be different to different batsman. Anderson and Zaheer against the Aussies was a good comparison because they were both batting on flat tracks against the same batsman.

disagree ur batsmen are crap against spin not pace on subcontinent track and comparing two different series which took place in different years kind of difffernt conditions .. its fail comparison imo

Nope. Conditions were the same, both were in the Australian winter period. (Well, UK winter period anyway). The 4 tracks that were used in the india series were also used in the ashes. And actually, we got rolled over by Weledegra, Umar Gul in recent times which shows against pace we're not perfect either.

Another rubbish argument. So its Zaheer's fault that English batsmen are crap ? Zaheer can pick wickets on flat tracks as well as in seaming conditions compared to English bowlers who can only bowl well in helpful conditions. Who is better ?

so its even right ? who performs better here is better bowler in india? its quite simple///

In that case, let me bring in another variable - support bowlers. India had just one good bowler to support Zaheer Khan in Umesh Yadav (first tour to Australia). Anderson had three very good bowlers to support him - Bresnan/Finn, Broad/Tremlett, Swann.

Not a great comparison to be fair. It was Zak's 1st series back from injury and barring the odd magic spell from Yadav he lacked quality support while Anderson had the likes of Tremlett, Finn, Bresnan and Swann supporting him from the other end.

Not really, because in these conditions your batsman > ours!

what?! 1) Broad does well everywhere, in UAE, Srii Lanka, West Indies, England. Zaheer has only been proven in India. 2) If Steyn played for Bangladesh and there was an India Bangladesh series in India, and Yadav outbowled Steyn, is Yadav > Steyn? You're logic is confounding.

Anderson has one good away series in his life and now he has become better than Zaheer give me break.Anderson is better than Zaheer in one aspect he stays fit and Zaheer does not. What is this fricking notion that English have some fricking high class fast bowlers, except one frcking away series Ashes they were nothing but average bowlers who bowl in the most helpful conditions for the seam bowlers. 2010 duke balls helped these guys a lot in last two years at home. Finn is one bowler who has potential to be a very good bowler all others just had couple of good seasons. Anderson is what he is a swing bowler to the core if it swings he is in business otherwise he is just run of mill bowler who can go for plenty, nothing wrong with that many of Indian bowlers are the same. In England these guys were very good combined with injuries and lack of preparation from an over confident Indian team riding high on world cup success and demolished them. Good for them as some of the Indian team members skipped a test series and enjoyed Wimbledon sun and thought couple of net sessions they will be ready to go. I don't think they as a team are as bad as UAE series and not as good as the ashes series .

That post is so abysmal it's not even worth responding to. Sri Lanka is helpful is it? UAE is helpful is it? What has Zaheer ever done outside of home? In fact, what has Zaheer got on ANderson in any regard. Higher average, higher strike rate, less wickets and is older. Go on.

Bresnan justifies his place as an all-rounder. As worried as England are about taking 20 wickets, they're more worried about losing 20 wickets. Bresnan with such a strong test average provides England with a solid lower order.

A team needs 4 best bowlers, then only it can think about all-rounders.
