Without his runs [even if lucky] we would have crashed out of Pak SF itself. he won us the finals against us under Dhoni after failing in league games didn't he? The whole journey leads to the destination. One does not reach there automatically. Lets not belittle our own champions like this.

Gambit Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 If there ever was a doubt regarding this, it is gone. MSD officially has set Indian cricket back 50 years. Under Ganguly and subsequently under Dravid and MSD(for 1 year), we consistently won tests overseas, if not series. Expectations of fans was such that we expected to win atleast a test in any overseas series we played since 2002. However, the nadir we have reached now is such that avoiding a whitewash is considered a minor success. MSD has to go and NOW. He can carry on being our one day captain and entertain his CSK chooza brigade in IPL but this hack does not belong in test cricket, either as a wk-batsman or a captain.
