Had he wanted, could easily have carried on for another 2-3 years. But looks like he wants to devote more time to NCA and KSCA. Hope he can streamline some of the non functional areas at NCA especially for the bowlers.

This is one guy who could've still played to earn a minimum of $300,000 per year, yet he retired to concentrate on administering cricket, which is a thankless job and atleast cost him a million dollars. T20 Cricket will be poorer without Anil and his captaincy. He will always be credited for the phenomenal turn-around in RCB's form in the 2nd IPL, taking them to the final and TWICE to the Champions League. Legend!

What a champion player....one of the greatest spin bowlers of all time....Bangalore will regret letting him go :isalute: Jumbo for your service to the team ....hope he influences younger generation to take up spin bowling and master it.
