How much can India chase in Last Innings ?

Looking more like a 1-1 series which is fine with me. Would have preferred a win here ofc, but that is looking less likely especially if SAF go for safety first approach tomorrow morning.

Now that Boucher is gone, we have a chance to bundle them out today and dictate terms in terms of chase, especially if Sehwag can just stick around.

We can't win this, it will be way too tough.

Bigger problem is - Steyn would be bowling with new ball in morning hours.. as if it matters to Steyn, but that is added threat. Had we managed to play 15-20 overs today, the ball would have lost some shine..

All the hard work from first innings is undone. Looks like another of Sachin masterclass in a losing ( or not-winning) cause' date=' for no fault of his (so far).[/quote'] Another to add to tally of non-match-winning tons

1. It's too soon to comment if the total is too big until we see how our batters respond. 2. A pitch in which Steyn and Boucher 32 and 55 without too many chances cannot be termed 'unplayable' by any means. 3. With due respect to the capabilities of Steyn and his fellow pacers, we have managed to outscore them in every innings of this series so far except for the first one on the damp pitch. 4. As a worst case, playing out 3 sessions shouldn't be a big deal to secure a draw at least. So it's too early to worry.

HR It will look unplayable, ball will suddenly talk in mid air as soon as the cherry is in Saffies' hands. We lost it after the Boucher - Kallis stand, but I am sure Saf wont shy away from putting in efforts.

The only positive outcome of this match for India is to fight out a draw and hope to square the series. This is more disappointing than the draws of Oval '07 or in NZ 4th test.
You mean the Third Test at Wellington eh ? Yeah that was most disappointing of the lot :(

130/6 turning into 315/8 is just abominable. Our bowling lacks the killer punch needed to finish the job.

SAF should have declared by now. The fact that they haven't yet, tells me that they are scared of a possible blinder from Sehwag, however remote that possibility is. Sehwag does not have to be in form to be valuable. Just his presence in the line up could help us salvage a draw here.
