Its remarkable enough If you rescue your team from dire-straits in one of the innings, but to do so in both the innings, with the series on the line and a rib injury to boot, is simply an awe inspiring performance. A score 160 out a team total of 360 by itself is a marquee effort that will rank among the best innings played in recent history. But to repeat the dose in the 2nd innings, when your team is staring down defeat at 130/6, with more than a day and half to go in the test match, is a stunning effort. His efforts alone make South Africa deserving winners of this test. And we havent gotten to the other dude who also happens to be the no.1 bowler in th world, yet. I really didn’t think he could possibly kill us like this in BOTH the innings. Looking at the way he played, I am just glad we somehow managed to get past him 2 times in Durban.

Secondly Kallis has below average performance in Australia and England.

He is undoubtedly the best allrounder ever and even as a batsmen he is perhaps one of the top 5 batsmen of the modern batsmen. Congrats on his 40th ton. I would rate Kallis even higher than Ponting in tests.
