Whatever people say, but I believe both umpires, Taufel and Gould had a terrific test match at Capetown. They were spot on with their judgement and I think almost all the time they proved right in all close decisions. I don't remember any close decision going wrong or any decision which UDRS would have overturned. Such great performances by umpires should surely be appreciated as they cop with a lot of stick when their decisions are proved wrong.

And one can completely understand why someone watching the action in real time would get it wrong. Absolutely top notch umpiring. If these kind of standards were maintained, there would hardly have been the clamor for technology. The Harbhajan 'not caught behind' must rank as one of the best decisions ever. To have the conviction that a Dale Steyn delivery would kiss the stumps and not knock over the bails is worth a praise.

Agreed, and it is a thankless job too. If there is bad umpiring, it will get a lot of press and several threads on forums, but when they have done great - the praise is not that much (proportionately). Well done Umpires :hatsoff:
