King Tendulkar Posted January 13, 2011 Author Posted January 13, 2011 Bloody hell one knock were he was not even out and the vultures have retired rohit already. :winky: Rohit looked good. But did struggle against Morkel when he kept squaring him up, battled hard though and has things to work on. Batted in very tricky conditions Kohli had a few lucky escapes early when prodded at ball and flew through gully. Battled hard though and was very gritty. Did not overwhelm with class but grafted hard. Became more assured and looked the best out of 4. Like Sharma batted in very difficult conditions and came through it. Rainas knock was inconclusive, looked edgy against pace and did not reassure like Kohli and Sharma did. Vijay full straight one and made meal of it. Not sure if he has class. Ranking after 1st odi 1. Kohli 2. Sharma 3. Joint Raina and Vijay
cowboysfan Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Vijay is a bit of an FTB no? no "bit" about it.
kabira Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 What is reason of playing Vijay. He has no chance to play WC Open with Virat Kohli..
King Tendulkar Posted January 18, 2011 Author Posted January 18, 2011 Rohit and Virat at the crease. Lets see who delivers!!!:--D p.s they are both looking good
King Tendulkar Posted January 18, 2011 Author Posted January 18, 2011 Kohli is just so good. Has to play next test ahead of Pujara or Vijay! Must be straight in for 1st test against England. He is the real deal!
achilles Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Vijay will play Tests for a while. He has proved himself in the Test arena.
King Tendulkar Posted January 18, 2011 Author Posted January 18, 2011 Kohli poos all over Vijay. Kohli has confirmed he is the REAL DEAL. He must play in all formats at all times. Class ACT!!!
jf1gp_1 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Kohli is just so good. Has to play next test ahead of Pujara or Vijay! Must be straight in for 1st test against England. He is the real deal! couldnt agree more pujara is noi better than raina
bihutoli Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Kohli is good. Vijay and Sharma are jackshit, they'll perform once in a blue moon. Raina I still have hopes on in the test format as well. Pujara will be our next great imo.
King Tendulkar Posted January 18, 2011 Author Posted January 18, 2011 Sharma is not jack sit. He is class and will prove it over the coming years. cant belive how people dismmiss such talented young players so easily
rahulrulezz Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 It's a crime comparing Rohit to Kohli. Kohli is milesss ahead of Rohit when it comes to Odis n T20s. With Kohli on strike scoreboard will always be ticking in singles, doubles or fours. He doesn't let the runrate go down. Compare that to Rohit and his useless innings like 11 of 31, 7 off 19, 22 of 47, 5 off 19. Rohit only has one mode of playing. Hit a so called classy 4 and tuktuk next 11 balls. Rohit can never be a matchwinner like Kohli
bihutoli Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 All his talent is eyewash! He's turn out like Wassim Jaffer imo, all style but nevertheless a dud in international cricket. Vijay has given more creditable performances than Rohit so far, and that is not saying much.
Sid Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Kohli is the only real deal out of all the youngsters
akshayxyz Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 ^ in terms of ODIs - I think Raina is a proven talent. And Vijay does not even deserve to be in that comparison list. So, Kohli ~= Raina >Rohit >....(Pujara etc. many more of them).....................>Vijay.
achilles Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 ^ Raina has played more games than Virat which means he has experience on his side. Virat on the other hand has a better technique and makes the most of the chances he gets.
ch1234 Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Rohit's probelm lies in his grey cells. Lack of thinking power, less resolute in approach, difficulty in comprehending the match situation etc are his drawbacks... He is lacking in motivation to make it big or he thinks himself to be ultra-talented than anyone.. He should understand that it is not about the class which oozez whe he plays a coverdrive, it is about the runs you score and about the effort you give in for your team's cause..
