kabira Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 would be good to watch. Hopefully pitch is good.
coffee_rules Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Kumar, Mithun and Aravind..medium pace trio... Go SZ!!!!
vvvslaxman Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Good they booted KKD out. What a lousy season he has been having.
saneindian Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Sreesanth not playing the DT. WOuld have been a good chance to be ready if he gets a call to replace PK. Ishant playing for North, so thats a plus. DK dropped from the SZ side. And the young Kanwar dropped from the NZ team despite hitting a 50 in the last match and having a great domestic season. Cautious start by North. 9 runs in 7 overs.
saneindian Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 North Zone: Nitin Saini, Shikhar Dhawan, Mithun Manhas, Mandeep Singh, Uday Kaul†, Paras Dogra, Yashpal Singh, Joginder Sharma, Amit Mishra*, Sumit Narwal, Ishant Sharma South Zone: A Mukund, RV Uthappa, MK Pandey, S Badrinath*, Amit Verma, B Sumanth, CM Gautam†, R Vinay Kumar, A Mithun, PP Ojha, S Aravind 18/2 , Both openers gone, Ojha and Mithun have a wicket each.
Chandan Posted February 2, 2011 Author Posted February 2, 2011 anyone put squad list of both team here Why can't you do it? You have started the thread. Please update your OP with the link to the live match either of cricinfo or of BCCI or of both and also put the squads of both teams. Ideally, you should have put preview as well.
Sir john Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 @chandan i am out you are a mod u edit my post
saneindian Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 31/3, an excellent pitch at Vizag. Kudos to the curator, Nice carry and adequate help for the bowlers. Batting from NZ has been slightly disappointing so far.
Chandan Posted February 2, 2011 Author Posted February 2, 2011 @chandan i am out you are a mod u edit my post It is not that easy to start a match thread. You did not put a preview too for such an important match! Aage se, don't be so lazy!
saneindian Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 49/4, NZ continue to slide further. SZ truly on top. One bad news is Ojha has limped off the field and has a sore ankle after being hit by a fierce hit while trying to use his boot to stop the ball.
Chandan Posted February 2, 2011 Author Posted February 2, 2011 Why has Badrinath tried Verma, Mukund and himself as well for so many overs when the regular bowlers are doing so well? Agreed that Ojha, the regular spinner, has gone out injured; but even then the three seamers are bowling beautifully. And quite predictably, the part timers are going for lots of runs. 111/4 in 49 overs.

Aniruddha Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 now the first innings lead is easily possible for SZ with the strong batting line-up they have even if NZ able to score around 300
Sir john Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 paras on 137 himachali lion fighting with southie trundlers :haha:
saneindian Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 What an innings by Dogra. On a helpful pitch, SZ bowlers should have done better especially after taking 4 early wickets. But all credit to Dogra for his knock.
