Ultimate_Game Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Hope that we shut them up but my guess is that NAGPUR is going to be a flat deck going by the past records but i hope that we prepare a turner so that Smith cries and complains about the pitch again We should learn from this match as well as from SL and B'desh. Let's make turning pitches to suit our strengths. SL-Aus game was played on a pitch which was described as "rolled mud". If they can do so, we should do so as well. Our strength is clearly spin and I can't see SA beating us on a turning pitch no matter how many Imran Tahirs they get in their team.

nballa Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 i dont see anything rong with what steyn said. our esteemed kupthaan refused to bring the field in till the batsmen decided to do it themselves by taking the powerplay. he literally gave up that day. it was painful to watch them take 6 singles an over when the asking rate was around run a ball.

Once you get past ABDV and Amla team can fold rapidly. Spot on! Albie had the knack of getting SA over the line and was the main reason they beat Aus in Aus in odis. Now SA simply don't have a destructive batsman down the order a la Pathan or Afridi who can swing a tight game SA's way.
