I would rate like this 1. south africa 2. australia 3. Srilanka 4. england 5. India 6. If icc pardons amir and asif then pakistan would get a really strong bowling attack and they will be second best attack . 6. Bangladesh 7. West indies 8.newzealand . It will be interesting to c the icc's decision abt amir and asif . Pakistan has this habit of creating chaos and surprising the world. Lets c how it goes this time. As for as the match winners are concerned india still has that killer instinct.

Anderson, is a complete different bowler, I agree, but i won't be surprised if they again are taken to cleaners in ODIS back hom ein India and in lanka.

Srilanka has the best bowling line-up given the conditions.. they have good opening seamers, some stifling spinners and an unbelievable death bowler. No other side can boast of these assets. The only reason I don't think they'd make it to the finals is bceause their batting looks completely reliant on a couple of players. Pakistan/SA/Aus come a close second Ind/NZ/WI/Bang/Eng form the next tier

I concur. SL has the best bowling line up. But if they face India they will be taken to cleaners. So you don't see a bowling that can conquer every batting line up out there. We have one of the best middle over bowling options. If only we step up in the area of death bowling we are not that bad. Praveen always does well with new ball.

Lee + Tait = speed to burn Daniel Lane February 6, 2011 AUSTRALIA will unleash the most terrifying pace attack competing in the World Cup with Brett Lee and Shaun Tait on track to generate maximum speeds of 160km/h on the subcontinent's pitches later this month. The pair, who stood down from Test and Sheffield Shield cricket to focus their energies on the shorter forms of the game, are primed to peak as Australia tries to win a fourth successive World Cup title. Their first game of the tournament is against Zimbabwe on February 21. ''I think my pace has increased over the last two weeks with each game,'' Lee told The Sun-Herald. ''I consistently hit a couple of 150s [km/h] in some pretty hot weather and I was pretty happy with that. ''You know when you're bowling fast. It comes from your body getting used to it all again and I've experienced that playing for NSW, Wellington [in the New Zealand Twenty20 competition] and for Australia again by backing up after every day's play and knowing the pace is back again to where it was." The national team's former strength and conditioning coach Jock Campbell has revealed it historically took Lee three solid months to hit full pace. Lee tipped Tait would generate speeds of 160km/h during the World Cup but he wouldn't make an outright prediction that he'd break the barrier. ''I hope so,'' replied Lee to the question. "There's no reason why not but we'll wait and see. I'm not going to promise anything or say I'll aspire to bowl 160km/h, because I think 150 is quick enough … we'll just wait and see.'' He was more emphatic about Tait's chances of sending the speed gun into a meltdown. ''He really is a once-in-a-lifetime bowler. The pace he generates is incredible," Lee said of Tait. "I'm really enjoying bowling at the other end with Shaun. He's a great Aussie who really puts in but the pace he bowls at, well, that's another world. I can definitely see him hitting 160km/h during the World Cup.'' And it seems as though the duo will need to generate express pace to gain an edge after changes to the limited-overs game - one of which includes a new ball towards the end of each innings - has the potential to nullifying Lee's ability to bowl reverse swing on the subcontinent's pitches. "I don't want to sound like a whinger but over the last few years life has become so much harder for fast bowlers," he said before today's final one-dayer against England in Perth. "Boundaries are in closer now, we change the ball at the 34th over and, for want of a better way to say it, that takes the reverse swing out of the game. The wickets are dead flat, there are also power plays and that makes it more challenging. Being a fast bowler simply means putting the hard yards in. It's also a matter of looking after yourself and you need a bit of luck with injury." Lee's comeback from the elbow injury, broken thumb and forearm strain that conspired to keep him out of the Australian team since 2009 has been the feelgood story from the Ashes summer.
