The funny part was he played domestic cricket to get ready/fit for IPL. I think his price was too high, if he had kept $200000 he may still have got the deal from some franchise

His retirement from international cricket was on a high and I think that's all that matters. Yes, it's unfortunate that no teams picked him for IPL this time, but that does not make him any lesser than what he is.

All the best to Dada.....................India's best Captain. Ever. :isalute: I am hoping he will go into cricket administration to try and sort out the mess that is Cricket Association of Bengal.

hope to see him as a Coach some day' date='he can teach players how to fight, also has eye for talent[/quote'] Not really. I doubt whether he would be interested in a coaching career. I would bet that he would be a good and efficient administrator. Do not be surprised to see him as head of BCCI in a decade or two.

Good, he doesn't need to keep playing this T20 garbage anymore. If he still has the desire to play the game on accounts of his love for it, there is always domestic cricket for it. Anyways, good luck to him on all his future endeavors.

The IPL ‘snub’ is a complete non-event. He will still be remembered as one of India’s best ever captains, as someone who heralded a new era of test wins abroad and made one of the most remarkable career comebacks in Indian history, not to mention his place amongst the top 10 all-time great ODI batsmen. He came in with a bang in 1996 and left with a bang in 2008. A true Indian legend!

Dada at Kolkata airport talking to reporters " I am still open to play IPL. I have not yet retired from IPL".
ok then he is still hoping there will be some dumb ass out there that want to take a chance with his 40 year old body in the 20-20 format. Nice going.
