Mariyam Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Do I distinctly remember Zimbabwe playing tests?
Sir_Afridi Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 they are getting better with time, and altho they dont play much cricket at top level some of these teams have a bit of quality and can definitely upset one of the big teams on their day. unfortunately the format is designed to keep all the big teams in the tournament so we wont see any making it to the QFs the world cup has a history of upset wins caused by non-test playing teams: 1975: sri lanka beat india 1983: zimbabwe beat australia 1996: kenya beat west indies 1999: banghaldesh beat pakistan 2003: kenya beat sri lanka 2007: ireland beat pakistan & Banglaesh beat india which team is gonna cause an upset ? i pick canada to beat pakistan/new zealand fixed..:hatsoff:

punjabi_khota Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Do I distinctly remember Zimbabwe playing tests? Ofcourse they used to, not anymore.
Utalk Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Only teams that are at risk of an upset on these wickets are Eng/NZ.
yoda Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 "fixed" - thats the only thing you can do - be it match fixing or spot fixing or now post-fixing:haha: ouch! :hysterical:
Zelig Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Do I distinctly remember Zimbabwe playing tests? They'll be back to Test arena by end of this year or beginning of next. BTW, they've reformed their domestic cricket by including a corporate structure to it. Augurs well for the future. They're on a rise! :icflove: "fixed" - thats the only thing you can do - be it match fixing or spot fixing or now post-fixing:haha: Nice :haha::haha:
jibranpatel15 Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Only teams that are at risk of an upset on these wickets are Eng/NZ. Lets not leave out WI if u saw todays game against KENYA they were realy lucky to win it after pegged back at 59/3 in 17 overs.
cricket_usa Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Utseya, Price, Cremer - some big guns will be caught napping. Watch the ride! Slowly but surely Zimboks are getting there. Sean Ervine at the top of the order would of been nice. Well, F him and Hampshire. Sean Erwin decided to play for Hampshire rather than Zimb. Can't believe Zimb don't play test anymore. They were developing into a very good test side.
nballa Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 hollandaise always gives me an upset stomach.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted February 13, 2011 Author Posted February 13, 2011 nice to see ireland and kenya finding some form
