Srre goes for runs when most others don't' date=' so just imagine how many runs he would have conceded today when all the bowlers are conceding runs :headshake:[/quote'] Cricket doesn't work that way, my friend, what if someone like him got swing going and had Strauss early

This is exactly why Sree should be in the team. He has proved he can go for runs but he is the ONLY one in our team who can change the match. He offers a new dimension in our attack and can really take a wicket at any time. The fact is most of other bowlers gameplan is placed on containing the opponents and waiitng for that player to make a mistake which would result in wicket. Sree has a different game and really should play
wouldn't have made a difference. he's mentally very weak. and my bet is he would've crumbled under pressure today. totally agree on him providing a new dimension though. would've only worked if he got wickets early on. you bring him later after the spinners' thrashing and he would've started sobbing

Rather I would put it, he is very determined that he tries "too" hard. Sometimes this makes him lose concentration which you term as mentally "weak" Today, when we were making mistakes and lack of determination, Sree would be very handy. Remember his second spell against Aus in 2007 WC, we were really losing but his over in the middle period of the match changed it.

we defintely missed Sree' date='he would've finished the game earlier,in England's favour of course[/quote'] I don't have time to reply to your comical posts. But yeah reading them would be fun! .... You should keep them coming so that we know that doing the opposite of what folks like you suggest would work better :giggle:

Its not other bowlers don't try hard. Why is it Sreesanth who always looses concentration and becomes angry after trying too hard?? Most of the players try hard but they don't have any issues with their temperament

Their are two angles to looking at it, If Sree and India plays well and win, this would be called agression or fighing hard for team, distrubing opponents by mind games........ This has what been used to describe the great Aussie attack in recent times. Similarly, if it is something else, Sree is riduculed by whole sectors and seen as "crazy". For me, clearly Sree is the only aggressive bowler in our team and is good wickettaker..

Sreesanth can bowl well sometimes but the thing is he has no control over his emotions. He gets carried away too many times and that can work against him. If he gets hit for a boundary at the start of the over, you can bet the rest of the over will be rubbish. If the situation gets tense, he will usually loose his cool and bowl crap. In high pressure tournaments like the World Cup, I dont think he is reliable enough as a main bowling option.

However again, this can be a strength or weakness depending on different circusmstances. To be fair to him, I think the whole Indian team is unreliable, either waiitng for a batting collapse or sucidal bowling. Probably a reason why we India never have done well whenever people have hope on us. Our two big successes(83 and 2007 WC whom Sree was part)came when there was no hope to win.

but we've seen that even when India wins, Sreesanth gets into altercations with opposition players and loses his cool way too often (a recent example is the India-Aus warm up match where Dhoni told him to irritate the opposition and not his own team members). So, in Sreesanth's case it is more a matter of having no control over his emotions rather than fighting hard for the team or playing mind games.

Highlighting anything to create news. Furthermore, since when have you people become soft and truely excepting a gentleman's game. Again matter of perspectives, you find it irritanting based on your expereinces, while I find it natural in competitive sports showing some aggression. Have you ever seen football??

competitive does not mean hurling abuses at the batsman if he scores a boundary on the 1st ball of the over. It also does not mean over appealing every single time there's even a possibility of a wicket. and yes I've seen football and I've yet to see a footballer crying on the field like Sreesanth :hysterical:

whatever he does i do not care as long as he take wickets you are not his spouse or family member to be worried about him.
