Cricinfo and their "sinking" creativity

It seems that the Cricinfo staff are struggling to find new phrases to convey the end results of matches played in the WC11. In the first ten matches played so far, they have already used the word "sink" 3 times in the title of thier bulletins. Sehwag and Kohli sink Bangladesh in opener Jayawardene ton sinks outclassed Canada Misbah and Afridi sink Sri Lanka is it that they are dumb or they dont want to hurt the emotions of the losing team fans??? the word "sink" seems like an euphemism. Because if it was me, I would have written Sehwag and Kohli put stuffed tigers back in the shelf Jayawardene had an extended net session versus canada Misbah and Afridi :censored: Srilanka (jus kidding it was a good match) Even in the last WC when we lost to bangladesh the bulletin read "Tigers 1 Lambs 0". This time i was expecting "Endangered Species 0 Sehwag 1" or something... but sad :(

Haha, so true. I usually check the site after the game and can almost predict the headline. Cricinfo also needs to moderate its comments section properly (or get rid of it). A lot of rubbish is posted.

I agree Temujin. It's a valid observation Cricinfo is a widely read and easily the most visited cricket site. They need to come up with some catchy headlines. Nothing rude like the "Tigers 1 Lambs 0" headline you quoted

looks like they saw it now or maybe someone sent a msg to them Misbah and Afridi derail srilanka do all victories need to be accident prone? sinking derailing crashing hijacking??? why cant they write " Misbah and Afridi strangle and beat up SRL"?
