gult Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Why not? Munaf is bowling really well and Zaheer is starting to find his rhythm. It's a long tournament and no need get panic for below par performances in group stage matches
jaideep Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 We need to rack up scored between 400-450 on a regular basis and hope that our bowlers defend it ..anything below 350 and we should hope with a prayer on our lips
HowardRoark Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 So let's just send a resignation letter to the world cup organising commitee and withdraw from the competition since experts have given their verdicts already about what we can and what we cannot. :wall:
Andy Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 The Fans think that being Critical Would make a massive difference on the Part of our Trundlers :hehe:
zen Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Lets post weaknesses of all the top sides so we can write everyone off :P
jaggadaku Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Yes We Can, else why bother watching rest of the games if it's already decided India is not going to win it
desi pride 1234 Posted February 28, 2011 Author Posted February 28, 2011 no not this cup. may be later with the bowlers like varun aaron and umesh yadav.
nsareen Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 india should have a new strategy... they should ask the other team, how many runs they want to defend and then just chase them. Forget the bowling, that part can be skipped.
Ultimate_Game Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Yup they can provided we play to our strengths and get turning tracks. I don't think it's too much to ask for to get pitches assisting spin for the India games, especially since venue for the India games is INDIA!!!

Little_Master Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 its gonna be a tough ask for team India...with a little bit of luck we can still win the WC. A lot more commitment on the field would help.
Ultimate_Game Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 We should learn from Ranatunga how to play to their strength and win WC. Ranatunga and SL board has the balls to make decisions which worked in their favor, even though they p*ssed others. BCCI on the other hand is simply interested in getting votes at the ICC and counting the money that they get out of the tourney. As long as they make enough money they don't give 2 hoots as to how India fare.
Laaloo Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 no not this cup. may be later with the bowlers like varun aaron and umesh yadav. :cantstop:
PakSwinger Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 no not this cup. may be later with the bowlers like varun aaron and umesh yadav. lol umesh yadav...didn't he go wicketless in his test debut against southafrica? the kid doesn't look, bowl or act like a fast bowler....I would say...bring agarkar

ganeshran Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 India has won crunch games with even worse bowling attacks. Its the matter of fielders backing their bowlers and displaying that extra effort on the field. Even if the ball is not going to stop, atleast try to dive. The bowler must get the confidence that the rest of the team is with them Pakistan was doing this in the first 20 overs of their game against SL before they reverted to their usual.
therocky Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 It will be very hard, The fielding most likely won't improve because Dhoni said it himself most players are just slow but bowling should certainly improve or we will have to score 400 runs every match to win.
