If Pathan who is biggest hitter in the team cannot come to bat after Sachin's wicket that too in batting power play with score reading at 236/3 in 39th over.Why the heck is Pathan in the team in the first place. Dhoni's ego as the batsmen has screwed up Dhoni the captain there because I dont understand what hell is Dhoni's role in this batting line up.If he thinks he can be the big hitter then he needs to pack Pathan off and bring in another bowler. He is not the big hitter he is getting credit for and that is screwing up the whole team composition.Pathan need to comes as hitter when platform is set up by top order or dont have him in the team at all. I can understand to some extent Yuvi's promotion which again was asinine move considering the guy who he is replaced has scored 83 ball 100 in previous game.As the saying goes If it ain't broke, don't fix it. On other note Dhoni need to take lesson on Captain 101 class again.He never attacks when new batsmen is at the crease .He totally let Bell of the hook yesterday who got beat the first two balls he faced by allowing to take easy singles. He did the same crap in Champions trophy in SA when Pakistan were struggling at 68/3, he let Yusuf and Malik take easy singles and let them build a match winning partnership.Yesterday again he repeated the same mistake. He never even tries to create pressure in middle overs by having close in fielders to stop easy singles and let the batsmen take some risk to get some runs.Both matches so far in this cup he has been exposed tactically both in batting and bowling.

Middle overs Yes our bowling is not good enough but how can our bowlers get wickets in the middle overs if our captain Dhoni wont create pressure on newer batsman? Yesterday after the wicket of Amla,Dhoni allowed AB to set and he was getting easy singles and that costed us in the end. He always have 4 fielders in 30 yard circle. very defensive captaincy really.

But it is rather illogical reasoning as really you are using hindsight, nothing more. You do know there is no golden rule and being defensive does not mean it is unsmart.
