Jersey #10 Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 during the matches they cant use twitter or other social web applications. They are allowed at any other time of the day I doubt that...
Switchblade Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I doubt that... thats what ICC said that during the matches none of the players or other match officials can tweet when the match is over after that they are fine using it
Iconoclast Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Huh .. I thought them Windies players liked getting stoned :canabis: Anyways the Bangla fans should have been stoning their own batsman for another woeful performance .. that would of made more sense :P
vvvslaxman Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 not as big a deal as it is being made out to be. couple of bangbros fans threw stones at the bus thinking it was their own team bus. no one was going to get injured anyways' date=' just a couple of stupid fans reacting in a moronic way.[/quote'] but from a cricketer perspective it is a big deal that too after Pakistan incident. Imagine guns instead of stones. That is what will be going through the minds of cricketers.
FairCricket Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Cricket-Bangladesh fans throw stones at West Indies team bus (Reuters) - West Indies' bus was struck by stones thrown by Bangladesh fans after the co-hosts were heavily beaten in the Cricket World Cup Group B match on Friday, the team spokesman told Reuters. "A couple of fans threw stones, two hit the window and it just broke. No one was hurt and we are safe," he said. http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/03/04/cricket-world-windies-security-idUSLDE72318X20110304
yoda Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 but from a cricketer perspective it is a big deal that too after Pakistan incident. Imagine guns instead of stones. That is what will be going through the minds of cricketers. Well players have to use some common sense. Being pelted by stones and fired at by gunmen are two different things and one doesn't mean the other is next. Chris Gayle's comments are just stupid, IMO.

cricket_usa Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 "The fans thought that the bus was carrying the Bangladeshi cricket team. "They were angry with the Bangladeshi team... No one has been arrested so far." From BBC

Chris Gayle's comments are just stupid' date=' IMO.[/quote'] Quite true, Gayle is such a wimp. :--D
Zelig Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 None of those Bangles would go one on one with Gayle or Pollard :phehehe:
Zelig Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 So, it's alrite being pelted by stones, aye? :giggle:
vvvslaxman Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 None of those Bangles would go one on one with Gayle or Pollard :phehehe: Gayle will stamp them with his feet :cantstop:
DomainK Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 "The fans thought that the bus was carrying the Bangladeshi cricket team. "They were angry with the Bangladeshi team... No one has been arrested so far." From BBC And yet, it's quite disgraceful. Bangladeshi fans need to stop being fanatics. They have an ordinary team (yeah, Sehwag called it already) and they need to accept it. Where their team is giving good performances here and there, a really bad performance is always round the corner. They need to learn to live with it. I remember them burning effigies after Bangladesh got knocked out of the WC last time. They need to grow up and man up.
Sir john Posted March 4, 2011 Author Posted March 4, 2011 henrygayle I'm tired!! Long travel day tomorrow...off to bed now,I will sleep on the same side as last night!!! Blessed all..1 luv...
Raghav_12 Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I think more horrible is some Bangla fan on ICF defending actions of their fanatics on different pretexts. I don't support these kind of overreactions in any country, be it India as well. And I would say there might be truth in the reports that they mistook WI bus as Bangladesh. But there would not be any excuse for the fact some BD supporters are condoning these acts by fanatics. This is something which Pakistan fans did for long, condoning all indiscretions, and see what has happened in that country.
King Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Stupid fans... I can't quite get this. When has Bangladesh been a force that these fans expect so much? The results suggest Bangladesh is at the bottom of all team in any format of the game. Why are fans expecting Bangladesh to make QF? This is just an unrealistic expectation. The reuters news mentioned the players houses were stoned as well. The world cup isn't even over yet folks.
coffee_rules Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 How are the officials so damned sure that the fans thought it was a BDi bus? They were pelted at the stadium and near the hotel as well. It's too much of a coincidence. People here thinking it's no big deal. It is a BFD. The players are very wary about what happened to SLans in Pak, any slight incident like this is going to make them jumpy. It's easy for us to sit and type away about over-reaction. But being in a mob is not a joke.
ludhianvi Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 This is unfortunate. The actions of a few disgraces the entire nation and fans of Bangladesh. Even the good ones get clubbed into one group.
Zero_Unit Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 this is shameful ... f'ing throw the stones at ur own freaking players ... wtf did WI do to deserve this? i guess you guys started to follow the pakistani ways ... good job morons!
