What speed was he bowling at? Saw him bowl a few overs in the morning session and he was trundling at around 131-132. Gul was around 129-130 and Cheema was around 132-133.
Cheema was their fastest up to 143K.

There is some problem with ten sports pace gun ...... Even Harris, MAlinga and Johnson were bowling b/w 135-140kph most of the time in S.L plus Gul didnt bowl a single delivery over 135 today Cheema looked much quicker than what pace gun showed.... He hit Jayawardena once on helmet and also hit tharanga paranavitana on elbow one time...

well bowled by him..first I thought they made a mistake by not selecting Wahab Riaz and selecting Junaid Khan..but Junaid proved everyone wrong in this innings. Maybe it's time to give Gul a rest from test matches.

I would still not leave Wahab Riaz for any pace bowler in Pakistan team...this guy runs to bowls as if he is taking a jog in park and sends the delivery at upwards of 145 KPH (with swing+seam movement). I still believe he is the real deal for Pakistan since Wasim retired.

Wahab is good but still not that good... he has pace but can be erratic at times and lacks swing with the new ball.He needs massive improvement at bringing the ball back into right hander... He has earn his place back now as junaid has performed today

No..there was problem in ODIs but not in tests. In tests, Johnson was clocked up to 145K which is his normal pace. Speed showed lower speeds in comparison to what they usually bowl in ODIs, but in tests, they were right.

The real deal since Wasim retired was Aamer, and we saw what happened with him. Wahab is still very good, I would have picked him ahead of Gul. Gul is just not a test match bowler for me anymore. What's good about Wahab is that he is also a decent lower order batsman.

No Cheema was good in terms of pace and he was putting some real effort. IMO, any bowler who can bowl around 86-87 mph in tests is good if he can move the ball both ways and bowls accurately. Pace alone is not everything. Pace with accuracy and movement is a lethal combo. This is the same combo which has propelled Steyn to an all time greats list. Marshall had the same combo. Hadlee had the same combo. They used this combination effectively and knew how to get the batsmen out. Bowling is all about planning how to enforce the errors from batsmen or deceive batsmen.

Its not even humouros now. Had there been an Indian bowler hitting 145kph, the same theory would have been given by Pakistani guys here or on PP. That the speed gun was rigged. And now, the speed gun was rigged to give a lower speed ! Priceless !!! I didnt find any fault with Cheema's pace. His action is a pain to the eye to say the least ! However, talking of speed, I thought the speed guns were pretty accurate. If at all, it could have been a little fast ;p ! And I was wondering how the hell ICC is allowing someone like Ajmal to bowl with the obovious chucking that he does !

I dont really carewhat pace gun shows as long as he keeps hurrying up players like jayawardena and Sanga with pace... Hedid hit JAyawardena on Helmet one time and also hit Tharanga PAranavitana on elbow as well.... As far as his action is concerned it is a nice whippy action

Yes, you will only care when the Indians will bowl at 125-130. And even though they will take wickets, you will still call them trundlers ! lolz
