He may not be racist with his comments but it was certainly offensive. Criticizing a particular team is one thing but comparing them to cockroach in front of millions of TV viewers is another thing. They could have kicked him out easily. I'm sure many of us have had fights one time or the other in our lives..... suppose someone we fought with died later for unrelated reasons would you call yourself a murderer ? Anyway, it was totally unrelated to cricket, so why should he banned from cricket or anything related to cricket ? Also, Supreme Court cleared him, so who are we to criticize ? Fair play you can't call him a murderer. But from what i understand he and a friend beat up a man in his 60's who later died from a heart attack. Is that the sort of behaviour you like to see from someone who represent's your country? Just because the courts cleared him it does not mean he was innocent. From what i understand (i may be totally wrong) he got off because his family have a lot of power and influence. I simply do not agree with the notion that people who commit serious crimes should be allowed to go on and play sport and make a lot of money.
