putrevus Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 This guy talk about taking the word of fielder and honesty and blah blah ba. But in reality he is the biggest cheat , how can you stay on wicket which you know you have clearly nicked the ball. STFU Ponting you are such disgrace to the game.
hatja_tau Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 So much for trusting the player's word. Ponting = #Epic Fail!
ravishingravi Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 ^Atleast Tendlya never claimed to be "holier than thou". It is quite another thing that everyone assumed it with him.
zaheer Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 why should he walk... There is an umpire standing to make a decision plus if u are that confident u also have DRS..
The Outsider Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 ^Atleast Tendlya never claimed to be "holier than thou". It is quite another thing that everyone assumed it with him. That might make Ponting a hypocrite. How does it make him a cheat?
putrevus Posted March 19, 2011 Author Posted March 19, 2011 Common when there is clear nick I have never seen Tendulkar not walk like Ponting had here.
CSK Fan Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Yeah' date=' Tendulkar always walks after edging.[/quote'] Did you see the expression on Ponting's face? The edge was huge and his expression was like, what the heck you guys appealing for. I dont have issues with him not walking but the play acting was childish
Midfielder Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Definition of cheat: to deceive or practise deceit, esp for one's own gain; trick or swindle (someone) . (intr) to obtain unfair advantage by trickery, as in a game of cards . (tr) to escape or avoid (something unpleasant) by luck or cunning to cheat death . a deliberately dishonest transaction, esp for gain; fraud He is definitely a cheat.

I dont have issues with him not walking but the play acting was childish[/quote'] Yeah, being a weekend I've been watching the match. Can't see how people can be labeled as cheats based on facial expressions. Bottom line is no one walks after edging it. It's nuts to call people cheats for not walking.
putrevus Posted March 19, 2011 Author Posted March 19, 2011 There are many times when there is feather of an edge batsman might not know if he nicked it or not. Ponting in this case and Clarke standing his ground when ball is caught by slip fielder of thick edge is cheating (Sydney 08 ) and on top of it both these guys want other batsmen to take their word when they are fielding.
zub2006 Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 love hashim amla, when ever he edges it just walks, thats how it should be
Sid Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Ponting what a unlucky fellow, you know your luck has run out when Khatmal picks up your catch :D
The Outsider Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 There are many times when there is feather of an edge batsman might not know if he nicked it or not. :hysterical::hysterical: Keep them coming!
pinkfreud Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 why should he walk... There is an umpire standing to make a decision plus if u are that confident u also have DRS.. Because when you don't, it reeks of 'un-sportmanship' and reveals a lot about the extent you will go to just to get a win. Why do you think Sachin and even people like Gilchrist are/were held in such high regard? It's not just about their batting, but about them playing fair. And this isn't the first time Ponting has stayed on at the crease when he was clearly out. When you do it once you're an opportunist, but when you do so more often you are just an insecure lowlife who depends on cheapskate tricks to win a game.
Sachin=GOD Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Ponting is such a cheat.........................whats new in this news :phehehe:
NareshK Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 He is definitely a cheat which has been proved many times but on top of that he is the most annoying cricketer I've seen in my life. I want to see someone slap him before he retires, which is not too long away.
kabira Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 He is hypocrite for sure. You can't expect him to walk can you?
coffee_rules Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Maybe he didn't know. But he looks stupid campaigning for player's word on catches. But what a hyocrite. Maybe the loss of form is affecting his demeanor.
