goose Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Looking back at his career, Tendulkar was a walker until midway through his career when he started to stay put despite the odd nick and i think a fair guess would be this was in response to some of the nonsense dished out by Bucknor et al at the time. Since the advent of DRS, Tendulkar rarely gets a shocker so i reckon he longer feels a need to even things up.
CSK Fan Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 you are talking about the runout at Eden Gardens ? No the match in Pakistan when he walked for a caught behind of akhtar and people came out with articles saying he was scared
Rajiv Posted March 20, 2011 Author Posted March 20, 2011 BTW, Kolkata runout was an Out and Out Bad Luck
hari504504 Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 No the match in Pakistan when he walked for a caught behind of akhtar and people cam eout with articles saying he was scared oh yeah that !! :haha: must agree that was a vicious spell from Akhtar - fading lights too if I am not wrong..
CSK Fan Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 dont like his selective honesty.as many said' date='hes stayed in the past n also showed his bat for LBWs.so why today?would he do it if it was Q/Fs[/quote'] He has done it in finals of a game which cost us the match so dont think its the matc situtaion or importance which causes him to walk/not walk Anyway a batsman walking is his choice and shouldnt be made a big deal of. He doesnt become a saint because he walks or becomes a cheat when he doesnt
hari504504 Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 ^^ I still think Ponting's fiasco yesterday had an effect on him..
Karan114 Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 ^^ I still think Ponting's fiasco yesterday had an effect on him.. Just because Tendulkar v Ponting debates are the rage amongst us Internet forummers, doesn't mean the actual players care to that extent about it :winky:
Rajiv Posted March 20, 2011 Author Posted March 20, 2011 ^^ Sachin doesn't care what any other Batsmen did, for any match - This is Sachin Tendulkar you are talking about, not a rookie
Lord Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 He has done it in finals of a game which cost us the match so dont think its the matc situtaion or importance which causes him to walk/not walk Anyway a batsman walking is his choice and shouldnt be made a big deal of. coffee_rules Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 DRS probably makes them do it. Ponting looks ridiculous with that edge from the face of the bat and standing his ground. But tendulkar's could have either way after DRS, there was no deflection, but a noise. Anyway, why should one walk in one situation and not? A lot of players do that. choose to walk and sometimes not.
CSK Fan Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 wen was that? I have to llok it up though I remember it. BTW, even the walk against Sohaib was at a critical stage and we went on to lose the match
Lord Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 I have to llok it up though I remember it. BTW' date=' even the walk against Sohaib was at a critical stage and we went on to lose the match[/quote'] no sir,It was a drawn game on a road.remember Dhoni got a ton
vamos_rafa Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 He had walked in the desert storm match. The umpire had not given him out, he stayed for a split second and then walked. Then Damien Fleming reacted in the "See I told you" way.

DomainK Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 IMHO he should not have walked. He can not stay when the a wrong decision goes against him. So he should not walk when it goes in his favor.
