Even in this match i had the same fear when Dhoni and Yuvi were going. Again a collapse. Hope we don't worry about run rate, acceleration all those craps until 45th over. Sounds sily. But that is what we need now. We need to play 50 overs once.

We need to play 50 overs once.[/quote'] Ditto, my dad and bro were yelling at SRT and GG for not hitting out and I was like its not going to be easy for a new batter to come in and get going from the start...no matter the reputation. The only way for us to make sure we don't lose wickets quick is to take PP3 right after the bowling PP. It has always been the best time for us.
Ultimate_Game Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 We are gonna lose in Q/F We already knew our bowling and fielding were not good enough but now we are finding out we can't even play fast bowlers even on flat pitches. We are gonna crash out in Quarters as Aussies have 3 good fast bowlers in Lee, Johnson and Tait, and if we play SL Malinga will get a 5-fer. So far we have collapsed in a heap against every decent and half-decent opposition... 7/33 against Eng with Bresnan taking 5 wkts 9/29 against SA with Steyn taking 5 wkts 7/50 against WI with Rampaul of all ppl taking 5 wkts Even Trent Johnston of Ireland had 2/15 off 5 overs before he got injured and I suspect he would have taken a 5 wkt haul as well had he completed his 10 overs. We are simply not good enough and after our top 4 or 5 the rest of the batting can't even survice, forget about scoring quick runs. And then we have tailenders like Munaf who simply have to give the strike to the other batsman (Ashwin in this case and Dhoni in the previous game) and they can't even do that. Ashwin looked the most composed batsman after the top 5 and that is saying something!
