NareshK Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Here is hoping that India can prove everyone wrong and wing the big match with Australia. I dont think this is possible as there are too many things working against the team but prove me wrong guys!! 1. Not a turning track - India's bowling has been abysmal and aside from Zaheer's 10 overs whats the plan for the remaining 40 since spinners wont play such a role? 2. Sachin always had trouble with Brett Lee - only McGrath took his wicket more and Sachin has always difficulty with his pace and agression. 3. Poor record at Ahmedabad - I think just 1 win last 7 matches while Australia has already played and won a game there. 4. Is a team that wont 30+ in a row really going to lose 2 now? Also people forget they are the #1 ranked ODI team for a reason 5. Sehwag is playing injured and will likely have to face lots of short balls against Aussies. Here is hoping the guys prove me completely wrong!! I suspect this is the case. Maybe this is just to catch the Aussies off guard. On the day, I'm pretty sure it will turn. Otherwise, I wish the curator burns in hell.
Lord Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I've heard there is dew factor at Ahmedabad?how much is it?if its too much, its disastrous as it'll neutralise both spin n reverse swing
Lord Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Australia are just not in the same class as India. Yeah' date=' it's a one off knock out match so anyone can win but I would back India to win chasing or defending.[/quote'] its them who are no.1
fineleg Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 It is ridiculous if Dhiraj Parsana & co. cannot give a turner pitch.
Lord Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 get a square turner like Kanpur test v SA.it should be obvious
Andy Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 So a flat belter, not a turner? Watson and Co to murder our bowlers.
WC2011INDIA Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I agree with you all. Indians for some reason like to please foreigners. I won't be surprised if Ashwin isn't in the game tomorrow. If the pitch is flat, Dhoni will likely go with 3 seamers and 1 spinner. Zaheer Munaf Nehra Bhajji I don't know about you all, but I am feeling sick. I really think this curator needs to be fired. Why is BCCI not demanding this curator to prepare a turner pitch? Why our own people have to betray us. In other countries, curators prepare pitches that suit their home teams. Here in India it seems to be opposite. I am very disappointed. I blame the media for this. They are the ones who have been saying it will be a turner pitch that will assist spinners. I really don't have the nerves to watch this match.
Sachin=GOD Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Dhoni's luck (or rather the lack of it :giggle:) with the toss is the most unfavorable thing for India.
Sachin=GOD Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Aussies gonna get battered again. And as an added bonus we are also going to get Ponting the sack!!! :yess: :yess:
hari504504 Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I've heard there is dew factor at Ahmedabad?how much is it?if its too much' date='its disastrous as it'll neutralise both spin n reverse swing[/quote'] Pray Aussies don't bowl second when it is cooler.. the Aussies pacers will rip us apart !. Hopefully they bowl first and wilt in the 42 C heat B-> . Just-nice for Ashwin to spin them out under the lights..
Ultimate_Game Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I wish we were playing the match in B'desh - at least they have pitches that support spinners as it's unfortunate that our team doesn't get the kind of pitch which plays to our strength - spin - and that too at home :((
Zeemazing Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Its not the same team. They are not even a shadow of the former team. I wouldnt go that far, but they are clearly weak against the spin, it couldnt be more clear. The advantage would be to bowl as many overs of spin as possible. 3 spinners and remove Munaf, go with Zaheer Khan. Thats the key, who ever is the other pacer will get trash and everyone here knows it. However they cant trash spin, they were completely lost against Hafeez, and he is only a part timer.
RedFlow Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Tomorrow Aus will unleash their best spinners Clarke and Hussey! :D
Zeemazing Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I just dont understand this sort of thinking India could have 30-40 overs of spin, Australia only has one good spinner Yet a flat pitch! Why even give the aussies a chance
Genki Sudo Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 ...or it could be a case where sachin see's every thing in binary code like neo from the matrix and just tears oz's overated attack a new one.
