The funny thing is that atlest in the icf'ers Pak is still main enemy for indians. every other thread is about Pakistan and even if it has no relation to Pakistan, the pak team gets draggged in. fIirst get over your pakistani obsesssion then make such claims

Haha! The mere existence of this thread basically negates your whole OP...oh wow

Don't flatter yourself. Most of you trolls can't resist coming on an Indian forum and frothing at the mouth. There's no fire without a spark, is there? And no, the Pak cricket squad isn't our 'main' enemy and hasn't been for a while now even though our political issues deem it that way. Yeah I know, being dumped sucks, but you'll find another love-hate relationship sometime in the future, hopefully. The dumbest thing you are doing is actually posting in this very thread and proving the OP's point. You, and that armchair wannabe Stewie who tried pwning the OP, but failed.

Good post I guess but lets face it man when the 2 teams play the pressure is on everyone, fans, commentators and players. I'm not sure about the added pressure but this will be HUGE in every aspect. I still think India has an edge in terms of being mentally stronger.. but I also feel this game will be about pure skill as both teams perform at peak level when they play one another. Should be a GREAT game needless to say and I for one cannot wait for it. Not so much because of the so called rivalry, but more because of the skill and flair both teams possess.

Our cricketing rivalry with Australia is more meaningful to us right now. The teams are much more closely matched over a period of years in all sorts of rankings.
Maybe true for cricket afficionados like some of the people on this site, but for most of the common folks around the country, Ind-Pak is still as big as it gets.

funny thing is.. we still have a better overal record against them.. there was a time when Indians couldn't win anything against us, and yet we still handled them with respect. We didn't turn our heads to the gora's and stuff. They were still our biggest rivals.

interesting thread. there is no denying that have had much better duels with Australia and South Africa of late. The latest drawn test series vs SAF with a fight for the coveted #1 test ranking is a good example. now pack to pakistan, that rivalry will always be there as long as the teams remain competitive. regarding the upcoming game, it is a big big game for both teams simply because it is the semi final of the WC, more so than it being an India/Pak game.

agree with you there. the contest of bat against ball will be keen and well fought for sure.

For the people from both sides, who gather at the closing of the border gates and enjoy those theatrical displays of hostility for instance, the history between the two neighbours scores over actual cricketing competition.

Why only at night?

It wasn't even a comeback, Einstein.

Come to think of it, you're right. Watching paint dry is far more thrilling, but it's fun watching you run out of steam :D
atleast it wouldnt have shows that you cracked
I cracked? wtf is that even supposed to mean :cantstop:

Oh dear me. Watching a swarm of bees hovering around a magnificent pollinating flower which is this thread is making me quiver in my boots and poop my pants lest thou soldier bee sting me in my plush bottom and leave me sore and red. Oh, the dreadful thought.
:finger:
Que? Now hook that wee restless finger of yours in your nose till you manage to collect a smorgasbord of booger balls. Until your next brain fart and your subsequent face plop, here's a friendly toodles from me. :winky:

as varun says, for keen followers such as most on this forum, it's not the crunch encounter everyone makes out. i know this won't go down well with pakistanis but i do think it means more to them. it's only extra special to me because it means so much to our opponent.

I have to agree that Indian fans and players are always less tense before a Pakistan clash compared to Pakistan fans and players. For them it is the ultimate thing. This has been the case for years. Don't forget Dhoni was a cricket fan before becoming a cricketer. So he would share the same sentiments. A Pakistan fan would take it a lot harder should they lose than an Indian fan in case of India's loss.

Awww  :cantstop: That statement was so f**king plucky, it's hard not to smile at it. But you still love us :icflove: Muahhhhhhz :handkiss:
