Manny_Pacquiao Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 i didnt think it was possible, but after following the comments of south african fans on news24.co.za during the india tour and now the world cup, its clear that they are even more prone to wrist slitting then the indians are... those guys absolutely hate their team right now. pretty much every single loss is called a choke. quite sad. they suck at big tournaments but they are a top class team
RedFlow Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 "WAIT ANOTHER 2 WEEKS AND THESE ROCK STAR CHOKERS WILL ON BOARD THE CHOKE FLIGHT TO INDIA TO DANCE IN IPL TUNE.... TO ENJOY LATE NIGHT PARTY... .......... " :haha::haha:
Sachin=GOD Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 "this is the new generation of Chokers......" :hysterical::hysterical:
Karan114 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 http://www.sport24.co.za/Cricket/CricketWorldCup2011/SA-The-horror-the-horror-20110325 :haha: Wow...I'm amazed at the level of vitriol against their players!
Sachin=GOD Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 On serious note they should make AB captain. :agree: If Tahir & Peterson bowl well the there may be a situation where the new captain Botha does not deserve a place in the team. ABDV is the best choice going forward and he should be made captain immediately.
Clarke Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 This is hardly worth discussing. It's almost like discussing what people on other forums are talking about.
Roshanrocks Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Very soon the word choker will turn into an abusive word.... little children will tell their mom's... "Mom he said the C word" :((
ravishingravi Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 "1. Okay we are chokers, lets get out any denial about this 2. How do we fix this problem? My feelings are, that the fear of failure and the need to win is far too heavy for any of these guys. Instead of having this ''I am great'' and ''We are winners'' mentality, I feel the proteas should meditate on losing and come into acceptance with this. Replace that western shrink with an eastern styled buddhist monk. P.S Im really drunk (trying to recover after that defeat)"
Pak_Forever Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 SA give so much hope to their fans by playing flawless cricket in group stages and the moment knock-out roll on they just end up messing it up really badly. Feel for the disappointed fans. Their quarrels are understandable.

Feel for the disappointed fans. Their quarrels are understandable. To thos who follow football, it was a similar situation with Spain (maybe not quite as bad) but it was similar in that they always looked so good in the group stages but come knockout time they would fall. Then they won one and then another.. Maybe the same will happen with SA.. They just gotta break the habit..
Pak_Forever Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 ^They need a new leader imo No they don't. Smith has usually been an awesome leader. This talk of blaming leader for all the flaws and mentality of the team is just not true. Each one of those 11 players out on the field is a leader of himself. He has to perform for his nation and for his fans.....nothing much a captain can do there.
Zelig Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I'll take being consistent over a period of four years to winning a major trophy. NZ won the Champs League in 2000(?), WI in '04..what did both the teams achieve since then? Zilch. And even if the Kiwis win this WC, they got nothing to build upon, which is a shame btw. SAF's time will come. But, I want to see Smith leave. He is a skunt

Switchblade Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 ABdeVilliers17 on Twitter Had a great experience at the world cup! Learned a lot and can't fault the team's commitment. The best is yet to come!
Switchblade Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 jpduminy21 Thx 2 every1 who welcomed us home last night! Much appreciated! We all still hurting but thx 4 the support y'all! It really goes along way!
achilles Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I think Duminy or Botha would make good captains. Botha is a non-brainer, having been groomed a bit and Duminy can be a darkhorse in the run to captaincy.
