Ram Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Basically 4 options; Option1; The Indian student association of the Univ close to where I live is organizing the screening of the game. There’s an option of sneaking in there, posing as an Indian student. :--D. As much as I think I can pull that trick off, its not an desirable option since there will be too much hollering/hooting/shouting and other forms of jingoistic expressions, which I absolutely HATE and cannot stand. :headshake: Ootion 2; Watch with some office colleagues in my place/their place or some sports bar – probable option, but again not desirable. Cant focus on the cricket with those guys around Option 3; Go Solo – Me, my beloved lappy and myself..:icflove: The most preferred one. Can just sit on the bed, set the air con to 70, draw some blankets, order some pizzas and breadsticks and simply soak the game in. Option 4; Do a parallel watch with a mate over the webcam. Sounds like a plan – our cricket tastes and opinions coincide with each other. Has the most likelihood of happening. P.S; At one point y’day, after we had qualified for the finals, I nearly booked a flight journey to watch the game with some of my mates from school, in California, but chose at the last moment not to, for 2 good reasons though. 1 – The round trip to Calif costs an effin $700 right now. :omg:.. that’s just simply too much. 2; I am visiting California anyway on the weekend of April 9th.. so it would slightly ridiculous to spend $1200 to travel there on 2 consecutive weekends + endure the sheer torture of overnight flights TWICE in 2 weeks.
Mariyam Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 I'll be at Wankhede. Be very jealous people. :P http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showpost.php?p=1407785&postcount=107 http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showpost.php?p=1407785&postcount=117
Mariyam Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 nothing to be jealous :asleep: Yes. But then again you are an engineer.

Nothing in particular against the Punjabis, but I thought the crowd in Mohali was too mellow and well-behaved sometimes.. Its going to be a totally different story in Mumbai though. :D P.S; Stop slandering engineers lady.. but for us, you’d still be in the stone age, wearing leaves and running from lions and tigers in the forest. :giggle:
