Cricketics Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 He gave away captaincy to Ganguly in last session of the his last test so that he live the moment again what he loved doing. He asked Kumble to hold the trophy in the last test too. Now he gives credit to Dravid-Tendulkar-Ganguly-Kumble.. The big four. This guy gotta go down in histroy as a specil special player. SO DOWN TO EARTH..
vvvslaxman Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Even in 2007, he gave the cup to youngsters and stayed in the back ground. If i remember right he let Ganguly captain the side for one last time.
Baad Indian Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 one thing that was noticeable is that on both the occasions 2007 and 2011 , he never tried to take the limelight . Others like Yuvi and Kohli were continuously trying to get there hands on the trophy , Sachin did too ( deservingly ) but Dhoni was nowhere in the scene , he was walking behind all the players talking with Gary and not bothered about holding the trophy and pose for the cameras. Even his reaction after hitting the winning 6 was ordinary , Imagine the reaction from Yuvi had he hit that 6
Moncy Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Oh, that guy is MS Dhoni. Yeah, I think he's really the coolest cricket captain I have ever seen.
akshayxyz Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 True humble champion. But... Some one start a poll on Who is more down to earth - Dhoni or Sachin.
Andy Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 True humble champion. But... Some one start a poll on Who is more down to earth - Dhoni or Sachin. :hysterical::hysterical:
Ram Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Not to forget, the CB series in 2008, when he called in the youngest player in the squad (Piyush Chawla) to come forward and hold the trophy. MSD has this incredible quality of retaining his poise and composure, even when all hell is breaking loose around him. Terrific captain, terrific team-player and a terrific human.
vvvslaxman Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 True humble champion. But... Some one start a poll on Who is more down to earth - Dhoni or Sachin. Both. It is not like Dravid is not humble. Dhoni sometimes goes extra step by being complete inconspicous
Sachin=GOD Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 True humble champion. But... Some one start a poll on Who is more down to earth - Dhoni or Sachin. But...But.....But you need a CAT score or Gold Plated certificate from Bill Gates for such things :hitler:
vvvslaxman Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 He forgot to pay tribute to Laxman :(( Sometimes he forgets it. Understandable. Remember in one of the one dayers.. .. he forgot one name and said "one more guy is playing" :hysterical:
Zelig Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Sometimes he forgets it. Understandable. Remember in one of the one dayers.. .. he forgot one name and said "one more guy is playing" :hysterical: Yeah, he always does it in IPL matches :((

Misu243 Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Not only that ..MSD is also a G..did you see how he held the trophy with just one hand when the celebrations started?? Awesome
akshayxyz Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Sometimes he forgets it. Understandable. Remember in one of the one dayers.. .. he forgot one name and said "one more guy is playing" :hysterical: Who was he referring to? himself?
Zelig Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Maybe, he is not taking center stage, so that the papers n fans will talk how down to earth he is et al. :beee:
akshayxyz Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Both. It is not like Dravid is not humble. Dhoni sometimes goes extra step by being complete inconspicous  I was being sarcastic.
