It took Anderson/Sidebottom years before they could do it consistently. Asif showed last year that you don't need any real pace to destroy the English batting lineup. He was bowling around 128-130 and swinging it consistently. If Praveen gets the same overcast conditions, he'll do the same.

After Zaheer, he is the most well deserved bowler. Actually best on the waiting list to get a test call. As i have said before, he is a unique bowler and deserves to get a go in test.

Bottom line is that apart from Zaheer/Praveen we don't have any consistent swing bowlers. Ishant/Munaf aren't swing bowlers. Sree/Pathan/RP are either inconsistent, suck, or too mentally deficient to change their ways. Praveen is a must for the squad since we'll have to go with 3 quicks. I'd rather reward Mithun or someone else with a position in the squad than some tired, rehashed, repackaged bag of trash in Sree/Pathan or any of the others that have been given chance after chance.

Should have gone to South Africa as well. Wonder why they chose to go with two rookies instead of PK. He's been unfairly labelled as a new ball bowler without giving him any chances in test matches. Hopefully we do not the same old mistakes again.

The only certainties among the seamers are Zak & Sree, provided they are fit. For the third slot, its an open race with Praveen & Munaf likely. If we go by Ishant's bowling in SA, he should be nowhere near the squad.

praveen is a must. he is only next to Zak. consistent. great attitude. committed. way better than sree and ishant for english conditions. sree can be selected if he practices malinga -bowl at shoes- style. he is good enough for an innings.

And that last time we played in England , India won with our bowlers causing havoc.
