suraj Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 lol- Sehwag bowling to fill Morkel's shoes ID 10 T error!!!
rajmarie Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 what kind of a MORON takes decision like this SEHWAG type of MORON
rajmarie Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Viru has won this competition today. Please close the thread (irrespective of whether Delhi win or lose). I agree. Please close this thread & declare Sehwag as the most dumbest captain in this IPL
Number Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Thank god this mug was not around when Kumble/Dravid were leaving captaincy. Would have screwed Indian Team.
yoda Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Irfan is injured, so Russel has to play as an all rounder, so Morkel the purple cap owner has to sit down. Now this is called Dilly Logic :hahaha: Despite this, DD can still win this game. They have two match winners in Sehwag and Warner. :((
CoverDrive Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 thankfully this kills off all his stupid captaincy aspirations and he stops his troublemaking in the indian team

Executioner Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 that was poor captaincy, he tried to get as many batsman as possible into the team as possible. If he really wanted to do that he cudve kept morne and unmukt in for SUNNYCRAP and Russel
BeautifulGame Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 For all the monaing of Russell over Morkel , Russel has bowled an exceptional spell.4 overs for just 30 nad 4 of them came from a over throw. And this in a match opposition is going over 10 rr. Would a picked upa wickets if Delhi caught well.No way Morkel would have replicated a similar performance considering his past performances in chennai.
yoda Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Can't see much wrong with that logic. Also, Sehwag coming in middle order can be an excellent move. As Ravi said, if they needed Russel to balance losing Irfan, they should have dropped Mahela and kept Morkel. Dropping your purple cap owner without an equivalent replacement is stupid at best.

It was Russell for Irfan and Sunny Gupta for Morkel. :winky:

If people still don't understand what a huge blunder dropping Morkel was they should stop making comments on cricket
Ultimate_Game Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 If people still don't understand what a huge blunder dropping Morkel was they should stop making comments on cricket Spot on. The guy with the most wkts in the tourney dropped for a must-win game :omg: I can't even comprehend the logic behind the move. I would have Morkel as the 1st name on the team sheet after Sehwag & Warner. Seriously who else beats Morkel for the top 3 spots in that team? Maybe Umesh may edge ahead but that's about it.
Needforspeed Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 I am not defending Sehwag...but on a patta at Pune where KKR scored only 162, Morkel went for 37 off his 4. In a greater patta today at Chepauk where CSK scored 222, Morkel's replacement Russel went for only 30 runs off his 4. So Really guys would Morkel made that much of a difference on this Patta. Nadeem should have played instead of the Gupta guy. Thats for sure...

I wasn't surprised to hear Shibani moaning about Morkel's omission, but I would have thought everyone else would remember how badly he gets smacked on flat tracks. It would have been interesting to bring in Van der Merwe. Also, Aaron could have been dropped but the only issue would have been finding a replacement.

Ross Taylor should have been dropped and they should have stuck another Indian batsman in.
vvvslaxman Posted May 25, 2012 Author Posted May 25, 2012 Disagree. You do not drop your best bowler. Ross Taylor should have been dropped and they should have stuck another Indian batsman in. yup. Taylor hasn't done anything apart from couple of sixes . But problem for them is Warner lost steam after the century, so did Viru failed in 5 matches in a row, Mahela was in okay form. But not a game changing form. Very iffy top order once Pietersen left the scene.
yoda Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Yes dropping Morkel was stupid. Instead drop Mahela or Taylor. Their thinking was that they can out bat CSK, which ofc backfired.
