Dont you people read? Valthaty is in the reckoning only for the T20 game. Considering that we view international T20 to be inferior to IPL, why not give this guy a chance. Normally i would be against this as i believe that every India cap has to be earned but stupid IPL rules prevent guys like him and Rayudu to get more than 30,000$. They might as well get their cap in a meaningless T20 game and earn 10 times more. We dont want people to turn up like Jacob martin.

Remember that we are and going to be playing non-stop cricket for the next couple of years.

Rayudu and Badrinath deserve spots.. Rohit and Rahane deserve them too but Rohit already had enough chances....let him prove himself bit more in terms of consistency..........Rahane seems to be out of sorts nowdays

Why are they not considering Badrinath? He deserves to be on selectors' radar for WI tour too.

This is truly the biggest puzzle I am not able to solve. What else does Badri need to do after averaging close to 60 in almost a decade of Ranji cricket plus being among the top 3 scorers in the last 3 Ranji seasons with deadly centuries to take his team forward from every conceivable situation. Damn it...life is just way too unfair if u are Badri! And on top of that an effing sambhar is the chief selector. Damn! Vengsarkar picked Badri and saw thew potential in him and bloody Cheeka has ruined it. What else must a guy do than hold his own and score a 50 on debut against a rampaging Steyn and Morkel attack? The Indian batting had folded in that innings...this was that Nagpur Test. And he's dropped for the next game because he held his own against SA ahead of stalwarts like Rahul, Lax, Viru, and Gauti...Buddha scored a cent as usual? When it comes to our Test team I think Cheeka has no idea what he is doing...guys like Raina and Yuvi and Pujara are picked ahead of Badri...Pujara himself has had just 3-4 great seasons while Badri has had double the number. Very very unfair! OK done with the rant

Yuvraj in Test.....LOL...selectors want to keep the so called superstars status alive. Clearly..in Test...the 3 that comes immediatly to mind who are ahead of Yuvi are Pujara, Kholi, Badri. Yet..the selectors will force him into team. Yuvi get better money to BCCI from TEAM sponsership crap etc. Good BCCI

Aye, totally agree. Unfairly treated. Seems to be a better Ltd overs player now and his IPL form will hopefully see him in the middle order vs WI for the ODIs A total A team should play- Mukund, Uthappa, Rahane, Badrinath ©, Rohit, Parthiv, Yosuf, Praveen, Ashwin, Munaf,Umesh Vinay Kumar, P Ojha, S Tiwary, S Dhawan
