Believe me loading these things in a phone will be a PIA. Smart phones are not actually smart but it did makes people dumb. Automated climate control is already available in the ipad/iphone, but I would say a phone is not required to control it when there is already the room temperature sensors like in cars.

Most of the "smart" features are meant to deceive the buyers. There are good old timers in the washing machines , refridgerators and the owens. Basically the human brain has to be dumb enough to use these smart appliances. "OOOO I forgot to take the clothes out of the washing machine, worry not I will control my machine using by google powered smart phone, which makes the dryer keep running until I get back and take away the torn cloths" "OOO my thermostat and climate controls doesn't know when it's daytime and nighttime, worry not a simple press in my touch phone will activate sleep mode so I can sleep peacefully dreaming about android power"
