Secondly he was used all over the batting line up. As an opener, as a finisher. In Tests he averages 47 as an opener. Who can forget his unselfish 93 at the Eden Gardens against Pakistan which proved to be a match winning knock. His biggest problem is consistency alongwith giving his wicket away after 40, 50 runs.

He has the talent and all the shots in the world but he gives his wkt away when he's set in his 20s or 30s. If he can place more value on his wkt and becomes a bit better in his shot selection he would be a certainty in the Indian team in all formats. Right now you don't know what you will get with Karthik. He may give you a match winning innings occasionally but more often than not he will score a eye catching 20 odd and throw his wkt away while trying to play a paddle sweep, reverse sweep or a swish across the line.

Even Parthiv is TOO SHORT a guy for beeing a WK for any international Team he is a bit bigger than a DWARF he will have to stand a step bAck to catch ISHANT"s bouncer...... May be Saha may get a chance as I am dead Sure there will be more than a couple of 4"s which will bounce off more and reach boundary and he is not a better Keeper than Saha or DHoni.... He bats decently though.........may be better then Murli Vijay.

For a BAtsmen 5 9" or more unleSs u have a very special Talent Like Sachin... Jst see a Pollard or symonds ...if they mis hit a shot still it may go for a 6... I saw a couple of Mishits from PoLlard pathan symonds even Rohit and few foreigners like watsons..if they mis hit they may still get a 4 or 6..if they mess Up with the SHot then they Get OUT... Jst see the classy DRAVID (even badri is same) there average hits do not cross the circle I have seen a many times even his strong n well timed shots Lack the power, These guys LACK that extra advantage that KP or Pathan or Rohit or Pollard get, these guys have to be at there best ....Sehwag has Power and timing both so he is Gifted See chetan sharma he got ample chances as he had Talent great Rhythm Good energy Good strength but too small for a fast bowler so he kinda Failed. AGGY. What a Pace n generated 145K pace wth thin frame still he had sachin"s support so he played a lot n finally they realised that he wud hardly IMPROVE ...I feel they shud have tried VRV more and they shud give more oppurtunities to Strong. N talented bowlers... I wanna say giv more oppurtunity to guys like umesh varun sreesanth ishant n improve them rather than Vinay Kr Praveen kumar and that old man Munaf who fields like the old westindies fielders
vishalvirsingh Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Saha has scored a lot in domestic cricket and he bats fine though a bit SLOW..I don't see him having a long international career in one Day international but I feel he may do well in Tests if he gets some Chances as he is a Good Keeper ( as good as dhoni if not better) and a Steady Bat for Tests. So he is a Thums Down for 1 days and Thumbs UP for Tests

Nothing. IMO...DK should concentrate on the domestic circuit for the next 4-5 years..to improve his game.
