Good to see someone like VVS who is always in the background be elevated to the status of the VC though it is kind of a token gesture at this stage of his career. Goes on to show how much he is valued upon being one of the leaders and mentors of this team.

Rahul Dravid has to step up big time. He cannot have one good innings followed by 3 or 4 ordinary innings. I never worried about playing understrength side in ODIs. In Tests i always feel you should send the best side regardless of the opposition.

I'm fine with missing the odd ODI but missing a test series for playing in the circus league is ridiculous. This is the first time that Tendulkar has rested for a test series. I'm absolutely amazed.
