He will shake england up + only needs to be a little more consistent . Some one tell him to stop bowling the offstump line . All he has to do is make the batsmen play with his bounce & I cant think of any batsmen who will be comfortable facing that.

He may turn into a Flintoff type bowler who bowls superb spells without getting the wickets that he deserves.

When Ishant’s pace is around 85 mph and he gets his inswinger going, then he’s a threat in any conditions. Looks like both of that is happening right now, which is a good sign for the England tour.
msb1991 Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Even through his struggles and now with him bowling well, he has had good control of reverse swing. This will serve him tremendously well. I don't think he will ever be a good ODI bowler, but for Tests - I remain optimistic.

Fontaine Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 The best thing Ishant can do is stay away from ODI cricket. He can play the IPL but lots of rest in between test series, and next year maybe play a bit of county cricket to continue to work on controlling his inswinger.

Ishant will always be rubbish, his new ball spell yesterday was terrible and somehow he is now "the real deal" bowling on a poor pitch.

He was unlucky to only end with 3 wkts and Zaheer & Ishant bowling in tandem will be something to look forward to.
