Just for a moment, I'd like you to lose the connotations, horror stories, judgments about "drugs" and "tripping" It is just such a misunderstood part of human history, that I ache for it sometimes, but when I was with Mother Aya yesterday, I understood and am in complete acceptance of all of our own paths. For you, "drugs" are bad, they are something that make you lose purpose and direction and basically waste everything in its path. And you know what? They most definitely are capable of doing it. As with everything, there is use and abuse. Ayahuasca keeps helping me align with purpose and harmony. Why do you think I share my experiences over here? I'm just another part of you telling you something I have experienced. We are all parts of each other telling, or yearning to tell, each other what we are experiencing. It is about being aware. Awareness is the final issue, as Castaneda says. The Universe wants to become aware of itself through all of us. b555, the God you love so much, Sachin - he is an extension you man. The immense respect and awe you have for Him for being so amazing at what he does (forget his batting, the dude bowls leg spin, off spin, inswing, outswing and bats left-handed in the nets :WTF:), feel that same awesomeness within you, be that God in your chosen field, in your Purpose Ship. I've had some similar experiences before but none of these deeply "consciousness-knowing" experiences have come through imbibed substances for me. It is ironic that when I used to dope and wanted the answers, never got 'em. But Aya is a different thing altogether. There is a similarly potent liquid prep that some tribes in southern Africa have...dunno the name though. Did you meet any of our space sharing entities? What were they like? Awakenings were there, bro. I had a private sit with a couple of my friends last Sunday again. Relaxing and yet quite mad. =) After the third night, I was spiraling into a spiritual crisis, I was depressed and losing interest. When you realize that all of this is an illusion, and we are all willing participants in this illusion, there comes a time when you just don't want to participate anymore. If it were not for my new friends, I'd have been in trouble. This is why it is so important to do this in a community setting. Flying solo could crash you.Nice that our phd sharks haven't lent their minds to this thought so far.

My dear PhD Shark Bros know what they are talking about. They are talking about the simple, feckin perspicacity of Numbers. The astonishing elegance of Physics. The wonder of Science and Nature. They are coming from the same place as you and I. Just different flavors. To add a bit more: God has designed this intricate detail, and if were not for the scientists, we would not be capable of being left speechless at the enormity of the Universe. Thanks for quarks!

Sadly, both these substances extract a toll in lieu the pleasure they provide. But the problem with latter is that you have people justify it by using fuzzy and nebulous concepts like 'awareness' and 'oneness' etc as if one cannot feel or understand them without the aid of drugs. Pleasure by itself is justification enough. Where or when have I said this, brother? :) And if I did say it and have forgotten, then I had spoken wrongly. Oh and the "drug" in Ayahuasca is DMT. It is already in your head. It is secreted by the pineal gland.

Maybe you are talking about other drugs, but Mother Ayahuasca is a purgative. Total catharsis of all toxins (physical, emotional and spiritual). Terrence McKenna, when asked if anyone could die by drinking Ayahuasca, said: "Yes. If you could die of astonishment."
