same way, we can also have another set of 14-15 players like SA A. 4-5 of our potential batsman are not in this emerging player team like Kohli, rohit, Pujara, Vijay, Mukund..They all are not sure starters in the national team. They all are A team players. Bowlers like Tyagi, Kulkarni, Pankaj Singh, Deepak Chahar, Pawan Suyal, Abu Nechim, Rahul Shukla can easily complete fast bowlers' quota. Uday Kaul can easily fill in keeper's slot. Rahul Sharma who missed this tour and Chawla can easily fill spinners slot. Sarul Kanwar, Sahil Kukreja, RP Verma, Arun Kartik, Dinesh Kartik, Bhuvnesh Kumar, Srikanth Wagh, Ashok Dinda, Jalaj Saxena, Pinal Shah are some others who can also be considered for any of these squads. SA A also had players who have played international cricket. You can only say AIS is an inexperienced FC team with very few FC games among the players.
Suyal and Shukla have played only a handful of matches. By what reports are they India A standard? My opinion is that we need to give opportunities to B Kumar due to his ability with the bat. England have shown the massive advantage of having a long tail and as we are looking to groom young bowlers, we might as well groom someone with batting ability.

To me, emerging player tournament teams must only have U-23 players not more than that if they are not considered as A teams of the countries. Suyal and Shukla both are emerging players and should have been in the team to Australia. There is no use of having Vinay Kumar there. In future, BCCI needs to follow AIS path and chose U-23 players for this tournament as this is not considered as an India A team. India A team too should also have tours every year to Australia, England, and SA, like England Lions. They play so many matches outside England.

Aaron largely took out the lower order. I'd rate Unadkat's performance as slightly better. I know AIS are largely young and inexperienced but Unadkat is just 19 and Aaron is just 21 and so it is promising signs for India.

@msb tom beaton and abbott are not talienders. Abbott is one of the upcoming alrounder for nsw..Tom beaten is a specialist batsman and one wicke is opener. Aaron largely bowled with the old ball while unadkat with new still aaron picked up first wicket.

Yes. Good performance from these two seamers as they are no veterans at FC level. Nor is Menaria. Disappointed to see no Rayudu in the line up but glad to see that Rahane is performing in every match. Though he debuted in 2007 and has played 48 FC matched, Rahane is just 23 years old. Yadav and Bhatt went wicketless. But am sure they'll click in 2nd inning.

I think our batsman played mitchell starc pretty well. he was very impressive in the odi he played against us last year. he has very good pace and is 6 feet 5

Beer 14-0-115-0 Lol India A have ended another promising Aussie spinner's career. Good to see youngsters scoring runs in Australia. If only the board could let them stay back and then have a series of 2-3 4 day matches with a proper Australia A side organised.

We do not even have a proper side which play FC games for proper grooming with other A sides. We have lots of contenders. BCCI must make some away tours for these players and play FC matches there. In the last 4-5 years the only away A tour has been last year's Eng tour for the tri series with the A sides and a few first class matches with WI A. None of our younger players have played a first class match in and against SA, Eng, Aus, NZ, even SL. And within an year some of them will be regulars in our test middle order. Scrap the Corporate Trophy and let the A side play in SA or NZ and let them gain experience.

Dont know whats the purpose behind corporate trophy. We must have more A tours especially to Australia, England, and South Africa.

I feel they are not tested thouroughly, this kind of bashing can only occur if the conditions suit the batsman a lot, or the bowling is really poor. It's not often when every batsman can come out and start bashing every bowler at a strike rate of over 100 in 3-4-5 day matches. I seriously hope they play against England A or England Lions in England. We would come to know what they are really made up of. 60% of the players in the Emerging squad would easily be drafted in the India A squad. It'll benefit them if they have tours in England, South Africa against England, Africa A Teams.

Thats right, I have said elsewhere that Eng Lions go on regular away tours and took part in WI domestic tourno. And they did in the Duleep trophy a few seasons ago too right? Im sure KP played for Lions then and made hay. Our baord needs to send our A team out for seires' like that. No planning really for these younger guys, it just means other test teams fringe players are more ready for International cricket than ours are.
